Despite what you may have thought, I wasn't arrested for killing Neurotic English Student this morning. I didn't even kill her, though I came close. I think she was saved by the fact that we'd got the comfy sofas in the JCR and killing her would've meant moving from my very comfortable slouch which was out of the question, really, on a Saturday morning when my insides are once again eating their way to being outsides, one cramp at a time. I was in a cranky enough mood to argue with her at length though and oh god, she doesn't listen to a word you say. She keeps repeating herself over and over without taking into account anything you're trying to tell her or ask or suggest. She also started to explain the id, the superego and the ego to me at one point and I almost threw something at her because *she* copied it off the damn handout whereas I went away and *looked it up* to say it in my own words and no matter what she thinks, she's not a lecturer. But no, she was saved by my laziness in not wanting to move. We ended up staying for two hours after both me and R asked to keep it short and she still didn't want to leave then.

I'm beginning to think she's some sort of robot. Maybe mid-presentation Will Smith will come crashing through the window and they'll have a Matrix-esque fight around the room while everyone ducks the flying debris and wonders if it's part of our presentation. Hhmm. Wonder if it'd get us a first?

Note to self: call Will Smith.

Other than that, I've pretty much slept all day. I'd probably still be sleeping if the guys downstairs hadn't started playing their music loud enough for it to sound like I was playing music at normal volume in my room. I didn't even know the song and I could understand every word. I played a 3 Doors Down song back, speakers on the floor with the volume turned literally all the way up -- which I usually feel a little bad about, in case I annoy the freshers, but I was really not happy about getting woken up -- and they shut up pretty quick. Think they got the message.

There's a ton of things I should be doing but I'm going to curl up with a cup of tea while the Nurofen kicks in and wonder if the freshers will be out the kitchen in time for me to make dinner before Sea of Souls at ten past nine. And be happy about the fact that the Top Gear Winter Olympics is repeated again at 10:15pm. Whee, Hamster!

Back later.

Truth be told, I have never met an English Student who wasn't neurotic...so I'm assuming you mean more neurotic than most. :P 'Cause I've met a few of those.

So much more neurotic than most. She actually does all the work and then twice as much extra on top. And then gets stressed if she can't do said extra work.

Worse, she expects us to want to do it all too. -_-

O.O

Never quite had one of those. But did have people who flipped out on you if you suggested anything was wrong with their story...and I mean FLIPPED. Anne Rice style, even.

I think your situation is worse, though.

On an unrelated note, I believe I must dig up a bunch of Apolo Ohno and John Zimmerman icons to counter your tennis players. It would be a sexy athlete icon war...

*snuggles* Cramps are totally not fun. Neurotic English student doesn't sound fun either. Hopefully Lossi and I can cheer your up later with more Andy talk and general randomness :)

And yay Hamster. Hamster is always good.

*snuggles back* Definitely not fun at all. They are possibly more fun than her; at least cramps go away with painkillers. Yes, it's up to you two to distract me again later. ;-) We'll have to be especially random.

Hamster is very awesome. :D
