... I'll let you in on a secret. The vamps don't get the injuries they pretend they've got. They get vampire illness or sit out in the sun too long or staked or poisoned so they then have to come up with excuses for why they can't play tennis. ;-) As you'll see with Mardy when I write the fic tomorrow, because you wanted plot too and I figured I may as well write the whole Andy-Roger mirror-story to Edge of Night while I was writing the sex.

Yes it would but there might also be other side effects. And the vampires get even more of a kick out of feeding off each other, it's just not 'food' anymore. Like... chocolate; it tastes better than something like potatoes or carrots, but you couldn't live on chocolate alone, whereas you could probably survive on potatoes and carrots without chocolate.

I just compared drinking blood to eating chocolate. I really need to go to bed. >_<
