Mar. 30th, 2003 01:15 pmSince I decided to 'Save Sean Astin' so to speak, I saw no reason not to make a Farscape support icon. For those of you not yet introduced into the series, Farscape is the story of John Crichton (Ben Browder) who gets shot through a wormhole and ends up in a distant galaxy surrounded by aliens and a living ship. Through the four series it's been on, Farscape has been more innovative, interesting and intelligent than any other show I've watched, including Buffy. But due to the rich storylines and often long plot arcs, new fans find it difficult to get into what's been happening so Sci Fi has dropped the show - leaving the fourth series end cliffhanger unresolved. It's uthninkable that such a fantastic show as this end in such a way. So, the moment the series' cancellation was announced, savefarscape.com sprang up. It's dedicated to positive efforts to save the show, rather than boycotting it or abuse to the producers. For new people, whether you like sci-fi shows or not, the Sci-fi channel is rerunning the first four series of Farscape now. If you check it out and like what you see then maybe you'll get involved in the campaign.
Fan support brought Michael Shanks back to Stargate - we can bring Farscape series 5 onto our screens.

Exhausted now. Oh, for <user site="livejournal.com" user="falln">, I found out about Sean Astin through <user site="livejournal.com" user="y2jai"> and you can read more on this strange Sean-bashing here: <a href="http://www.livejournal.com/users/gabbyhope/146721.html">Astin the Terrible?</a>
Right, now I've supported my various causes, I'm off to actually get dressed and do some work. *waves*
