For those of you who don't have [livejournal.com profile] lillyv friended, this just had me laughing too hard to breathe. Oh wow that is marvellously insane. I love people for taking the time to do these things.

Spent tonight hanging out with [livejournal.com profile] wolves8 and L-who-needs-to-get-an-LJ-so-I-can-stop-calling-her-L. I made them watch Serenity. Okay, lie, L wanted to see it and I made them watch Out of Gas first to get some idea of who characters like Inara were (episode-Serenity's too long for a quick intro and besides, Out of Gas is better) and then we watched Serenity. I love that movie. River gets more awesome every time, though it always makes me want to watch the awesome River vid pointed out to me by [livejournal.com profile] claireweasley -- who I miss :( -- again. Seriously good vid, which is terribly humbling to watch when you're attempting your own. Yes. Wow.

And isn't this just a post full of links. Think I'm all out now though. Haven't been playing around online enough recently to have found anything else cool. Alas.

Need to answer comments. Need to write fic. Really should think about bed sometime soon because I'm about to pass out my desk but eh. Need organisation which I lack greatly right now. Hhhmm. I should do stuff. Stuff is good. I guess.

And Marco Baghdatis, despite having a name I cannot spell, has redeemed himself after defeating Andy. Sort of. I'm just happy Ljubicic is gone, though I know whe I'm watching an Andy-less final on Sunday, all my bitterness will return.

edit: Also, does anyone know anything about 3 Doors Down? I randomly downloaded some of their songs and they're good but I'd never heard of them before. Just wondered if they were worth the effort of looking into more.

3 Doors Down is an awesome band. :) At least the songs that I've actually heard from them are really good. I don't actually own any of their cds. However, I do know that they're supposed to be an awesome live band and that they're from the South. I think Mississippi but I'm not sure. :P

I saw 3DD as an opening act at a concert once, and have their first two CDs. I can send along some more songs if you'd like :D They're not my favorite, but I do like them pretty well. They were bigger a few years ago, I think... could be wrong though, I'm not very up on that sort of thing. Which songs do you have?

That'd be awesome, thank you! :D That's the sort of feeling I'm getting, that I could happily listen to them even though they aren't *quite* as good as some of my favourite bands. Ah, them being bigger a while back maybe explains why I haven't come across them before, though I don't really know about that side of things either. :) I've got Be Like That, Here Without You, Kryptonite, Better Life and By My Side.

Hehehe, glad you enjoyed the link.

As for 3 Doors Down...I really like their singles and think they've put out some really good music (Hell, Kryptonite is one of the IM songs and will always also remind me of a Team Extreme fic I never wrote). I haven't heard their non-radio stuff, but from what I've heard I like 'em.

Then again, I like just about everything music-wise. *is on a weird music kick again*

It was awesome. :D It cheered me up when I needed it. :)

Ooo, I didn't realise it was an IM song! I should go back and download the others now I can, see what else I've been missing. They seem to be a getting a thumbs up from everyone, so I'll look into them more. :) This is why I love having a flist with Americans on, you know all the good music we sometimes miss out on over here.

Weird music kicks are fantastic. You usually come out of them with the greatest songs you never would've found otherwise.

You know, that's one of those things I didn't consider when I first wrote IM...that most of my fans weren't from the U.S. and might not know the same music I did. I tried not to use too many weird artists, at least. *pulls up soundtrack page* Er...um...I can't tell what's weird and what's not...*cries*

Well, it doesn't help that I've got [livejournal.com profile] randomsome1 feeding me all kinds of trance and techno. Granted, I did ask for it, but still...and I was having the damndest time finding about three songs I wanted on Shareaza. But it's all been worth it.

Marco Baghdatis, eh, I'm with you there. I'm super glad he beat Ljubicic, but it's kind of the case of two evils, one just happens to be bigger. And balder. Beating Andy automatically puts a player on my hate-list (case in point, Robby Ginepri) no matter what redeeming qualities they might have. Except, you know, Marat and Roger and Nadal ... okay, so I really have no logic. I just can't bring myself to like Baghdatis. It ain't happening.

The shiny, bald evil of Ljubicic does kind of outweigh everything but only until he's beaten and you remember that it could've been Andy beating him. I get what you mean about players who beat Andy... I still can't quite bring myself to totally like Joachim after he beat Andy the 2004 US Open. (Not thatI hold a grudge or anything. ;) ) There are exceptions - definitely Rafa, it's impossible to hate him - but we need *someone* to dislike in tennis. Picking them on the basis of "well Andy would've won if they didn't exist" seems like as good a reason as any. :)
