clo_again: (Hamster - Just A Little Silly)

My semi-illegal student network came through with an episode of Top Gear that I haven't seen. It has Hamster driving a Morgan and James and Jeremy looking at it cross-eyed to try and make it look better. Plus, they played dramatic LotR music over Hamster driving and that will never cease to be funny. [livejournal.com profile] kindoftrouble, have you seen this one? There is *serious* Hamster mockage going on, it's wonderful.

Huh. Aside from a sudden, inexplicable influx of porn -- though, students. Often drunk. Camera phones. Maybe inexplicable is the wrong word -- LUsernet has come through for me again. Awesome!

edit: Wait, it's the people carrier one! I have seen at least a bit of it before but I missed all the best Hamster mocking. Still pleased. :)

I think so. Is it the one where Jeremy says he can go round the track and read a book before Hamster's finished his lap? Because he drives a Morgan in that, and there's mockage. I don't remember the LotR music though, so maybe it's a different episode.

Nope... I'm fairly sure I've got that one on DVD but I haven't seen this new one for ages, so I don't *think* it's the same. Hhhmm. It's the one with Christian Slater? (which just made me squee, since I like him far too much.) And Hamster's just bought a Dodge Charger which leads to more beautiful mocking. Will send it to you if you haven't got it, 'cause it's awesome. :D

I haven't seen that one! I'm actually shocked. Though, earlier I saw an episode I hadn't seen too so perhaps I just missed an entire run of episodes. I love Christian Slater too. Especially in Heathers. Mocking is totally awesome :D I would love a copy, yay!

I'm shocked too, because from the sound of the news segment it was the one after Jeremy drove the Discovery up the mountain and I thought we'd got that lot of repeats over Christmas. I haven't seen Heathers, it's one of those things I keep hearing mentioned but haven't found to watch yet. I didn't realise it had him in it, so it's definitely gone up on my 'To find&watch' list. :) The Hamster mocking in this is wonderful but some of it is in the news part and I'm wondering if it would've been cut from the UKTVPeople repeats anyway. Yay for people who record obscure episodes from BBC! :D Will send you a copy... might be only computer-watchable though, I'm not entirely sure how to burn it as a DVD.

Oh, the Discovery one was today which was one of the ones I missed as I was in Paris and only managed to get half of them. So, I guess it will be on tomorrow, though I still want the Hamster mocking. Yay indeed, sometimes the news isn't cut but most of the time it is, sadly. Heathers is great. Watch it. I was in HMV the other day and it was on sale for £3.99, I think. I love whoever recorded that episode now :D Eh, that's fine. Stuff is generally watched on laptop a lot anyway.

I must've just missed it... now wait, it's the Jeremy-goes-round-the-Nurburgring-that-I-can't-spell and I've seen the last couple of minutes, so it must've been on. This is worth having the uncut version of though, just for the sheer amount of Hamster mockage in the first half. And Jeremy getting told by the German woman that he doesn't have a lot of driving talent which is priceless. Ooo, going into Lancaster tomorrow and I think even my funds can stretch to £3.99, so I'll see if I can get it. :) Me too, whichever random student it was has my eternal adoration. Heh, will send it! The Hamster mockage and Jeremy getting insulted by a German woman should be shared in uncut glory.

Ooooh, I've seen bits of that but not the whole episode. Well, I've seen Jeremy go round the Nurburgringthing but not the rest. That's just a stupid word. It should be shorter. Stupid German and their we-will-stick-lots-of-words-together thing. Hamster mockage is always, always worth having, as is Jeremy insultage. I was impressed with the £3.99, though it's not the shiny new version with extras, it's just the film, but it's totally worth it because it's really good. Plus, Christian Slater. *harts random student* Definitely shared :D

Me too, it's really weird. Like they must've shown it at awkward times or something, hm. I'd seen the people-carrier race on BBC ages ago but nothing else which is just baffling. That is a crazy word, stupid Germans not thinking of the poor non-Germans trying to spell it. Truly awesome Hamster mockage, so this episode is definitely worth it. :D Bought it today! Will watch it later on, if I ever get left alone by flatmate. I must admit, I have so many DVDs with extras that I've never looked at. It looks awesome. :D And mm, Christian Slater is always good. I wish there was a way to send messages across LUsnert to say thanks, because it really was awesome to find it just randomly like that. :D

What is Top Gear?

It's a motoring show over here in the UK, presented by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard 'Hamster' Hammond (icon) and James May, who pretty much spend the entire show racing Ferraris, Porshes, Aston Martins and such in various ways and snarking at each other/about cars/about pretty much anyone. It actually has a Wikipedia entry which never ceases to amuse me just by existing, but it does explain it very well, much better than me.

We're in it for the snark, pretty much. And the pretty cars, which are o-so-*very*-pretty. :)

And we're also in it for the awesomeness of Hamster. Though, that's generally covered under snark. The cars are so, so pretty.

I forgot the awesomeness of Hamster! *shame* I'm so used to taking him for granted by now. Hamster and snark go hand in hand, pretty much. ^_^

I feel shocked! Hamster doesn't like the fact you forgot about his awesomeness ;) *pets him* They really do. Hamster is awesome but it's mostly because of the snark.
