In my new year tradition of trying new things, I'm testing Firefox, which I've been meaning to do for ages. So far it's good. I love the whole tab thing. I do keep opening IE first out of habit but that'll wear off soon.
Hamster got a pie in the face. *grin* Good TV, though Clarkson is so going to mock him in the next series of Top Gear.
... I had something else to say, I'm sure I did. Um. Something, something. No, it's gone. I saw my first tennis of the year today but got bored and wandered off because it was only Grosjean vs El An... the guy whose name I can't spell. I thought we were meant to be getting Hopman Cup coverage this afternoon but they played silly buggers with the times and moved it from 2pm to 7pm, so there's not a chance I'll get to watch it with the 'rents firmly ensconced in front of the TV. Looking at the listings through to the end of February, it doesn't look like I'll be missing much of importance aside from the AO. I hate having Roger playing the Rotterdam Open though, considering Holland is a bare 50 minute flight away and it's more than a little tempting to skip uni to go. Which, considering I have essays and projects and creative writing portfolios to do over Easter this year would be a bad plan. Alas. One day.
I have so much to do, I'm trying to decide where I should start. :-/

Date: 2006-01-03 06:49 pm (UTC)By the way, I sent your package last week on... it was either Thursday or Friday and I believe it'll take like 7 days to get there so it should be waiting for you when you get back to school.

Date: 2006-01-03 06:55 pm (UTC)YAY! I *love* getting back to post waiting for me. I hope the porters'll be there for me to get it even though it's still the holidays. They should be I think. Having to wait a week with it just on the other side of a locked door would be dire. o_O

Date: 2006-01-03 06:53 pm (UTC)He'll be mocked and we will love it.
I watched Tim Henman play yesterday so that was my official first tennis match of the year. I was hoping we'd get Roger after the Grosjean-Other guy match, but no :( Stupid Eurosport.

Unexpected shopping trips made me miss everything yesterday. *sigh* I thought we might've got Roger but forgot to check later on, so at least I didn't miss anything. :-/ Hopefully they'll do better with the Australian Open, not that I'll be here to see any of it. Yay for Sky+!

Date: 2006-01-03 08:22 pm (UTC)It is really awesome :D Which reminds me, apparently there is a Bugatti in a car museum in Basel, which makes me want to fly there and watch tennis and see the Bugatti, because, tennis and shiny cars. Perhaps the fact they have a car museum there is why Roger is a car whore ;) (This is what EasyJet tells you in their inflight magazine.)
I was not impressed with the non-Rogerness, I mean, it's Roger. They should totally show him play! I still maintain it's the best invention ever, apart from when it goes wrong.

Date: 2006-01-04 01:06 am (UTC)Ooooooooo, now I'm wishing I could fly to Basel too. I mean, Roger can't miss his home tournament again this year, no one's luck is that bad, so he'll be there and Bugatti and hmmm. If I won the lottery this weekend, there would be a trip to Switzerland booked the next day. Roger AND a Bugatti, what more could we ask for? And there should be fic about Roger drooling over Basel!Bugatti. It'd be such a great reason for him being an abnormal Swiss and liking fast cars. :) (Wow, that's probably the first useful thing I've heard of coming from an in-flight magazine. ^_^ Go EasyJet!)
That's usually the good thing about liking top ten players, when they're playing then they're usually the ones who get shown. With good reason; they're the most popular! And exactly, it's Roger. What. he lost TMC and suddenly he's not interesting or something? -_- Apart from the technical faults that I think Sky builds in on purpose, it is brilliant. Combined with a DVD recorder it's awesome. :D

Date: 2006-01-04 07:29 am (UTC)Exactly, his luck can't be that bad, and therefore there will be Roger and a Bugatti. Well, we could ask for Roger, Andy and a Bugatti, but that might be pushing our luck ;) Now I really want to go. Winning the Lottery would be awesome, even if it's not the massive amount then you could still afford a flight to Switzerland. It's a good theory, it does explan his love of cars. (I know, I was shocked too!)
And they always show Roger's matches - always - and so I was really shocked that they didn't yesterday. Perhaps. Apparently he was more interesting when he was unbeatable which just makes no sense. But this is Eurosport and I have a love-hate relationship with it because sometimes it's stupid. *nods* Awesome, yes.
