I meant to do so much yesterday but after such a squeeful, bouncy New Year, I think I came back down with a bump and had simply a blah day. Tidied my room, cleaned out the fish, stopped speaking to the father for most of the night, stayed up till 5am trying to DVD stuff off the Sky+ box but I just couldn't bothered to do anything that mattered and left LJ alone on the basis that I'd only rant and regret it later. But then we went shopping today and I got free stuff in Lush which meant I ended up spending less money and I think I'm gradually working off the bad mood. No idea what it was about, though the man probably didn't help by refusing to let me watch Top Gear even though I left him in peace to watch the stupid rugby. Possibly also a little bit that I want to be back in Lancaster now because TV's the only thing keeping me here and if I'm going to have a father with the mental age of a six year old whining about me watching *anything* then I may as well not be here. I miss Lancaster. Four more days.

I also come with news of glee for [livejournal.com profile] kindoftrouble - don't know if you know already but Hamster's got a new talk show starting tomorrow at 5pm on ITV, where they just sit around and ramble about the world in general for an hour as far as I can tell. This is excellent news since it means I get a daily dose of Hamster-madness when I'm separated from Top Gear marathons and Brainiac for the next two and a half months, but also bad news - it clashes with Neighbours. Sigh. No question of which one'll win of course, damn you ITV for being so fiendishly clever and enticing Hamster to you possibly with pieces of tasty card.

Also wanted to ask if you'd seen

I was just amused by how far off the floor his feet are. :D And by James cracking up in the background.

Things to do, things to do. :/ Where's this holiday gone?

I discovered that earlier while looking for tennis listings and was going to tell you! Except you got there first. Lots of Hamster love, especially as there's no new Top Gear until Spring. Even if they talk about boring things, it can't be bad because it's Hamster and maybe he will eat cardboard and we are really beyond help. And plus, he's going to do something silly which Jeremy will tease him about next series.

Awwww, so cute :D *saves caps* I have not yet put that episode onto a DVD, but it's in my queue ;) I love James cracking up and I love that Jeremy actually *lifted* him up as it was so adorable. Did you see the episode with his mum which was on earlier today? It was hilarious, he's the dutiful son and then Jeremy and James laugh at pictures of him when he was younger.

Do you think anyone's sick of us squeeing over Hamster yet?

:D I wouldn't have known if my dad hadn't told me when I was watching him on Top Gear. It's always fun to listen to Hamster talk, even if it's about nothing because every so often he'll giggle at something and it's adorable. I think the cardboard should be an ongoing thing for him and nah, we're not. Um. Maybe a little bit. ;) I hope jeremy does tease him about it next series, just because it's so fun to see him get all mock-outraged.

I've got to the point where I'm only recording my favourite pieces of episodes to DVD since I couldn't be bothered to keep sitting there for hours on end recording everything. ;) Needless to say, it all includes plenty of Hamster. ;) It really was adorable, he's so small. :D I did! He's *such* a mummy's boy; did you see the bit where he said "I'm not supposed to help you" and his mum said "But you will" and he said ""Yes." That's definitely going on DVD. :) Jeremy and James laughing at the pictures was awesome, poor Hamster. It's much too fun to watch him getting teased. :)

Naaaaaah, they couldn't be! It's Hamster! ;) I did find an LJ community for him yesterday and almost died laughing. Though there are people out there who prefer *James*. Bizarre world.

I have excitement now, because it's Hamster and he's just cute and will make me squee a lot. He has a cute accent so I enjoy listening to him talk and when he laughs it's just adorable. Definitely, he should eat cardboard more. A little bit... yes. It is, especially with the teeth jokes ;)

Yeah, that's the problem, I now have so much to put on DVD I have no idea where to start. Damn these marathons! The thing with doing that is I'd always want to find the part that I hadn't put on the DVD for some reason, so I go with the full episodes. Hamster is a must in the favourite parts bits though. He really is and his mum was even shorter than him! That bit cracked me up and made me go 'awwww'. Poor Hamster, but funny. James should get teased more but he really doesn't!

That's true. There can't be too much Hamster. Those people are insane and *definitely* beyond help. James actually has fansites which is just odd to me and it made me want to make a Hamster one which proves I am beyond help.

*reposted without screwed up tags dammit*

I'm definitely excited too. ^_^ Out shopping earlier, I was convinced it was Tuesday and I was going to miss it, so phoned my dad to record it for me. He had to repeat "IT'S NOT TUESDAY" a few times before I believed I wasn't going to miss it. ;-) Much squeeing tomorrow I think. Hamster is nice to listen to, mmm. We should write to Top Gear "Have Hamster eat more cardboard because it's cute!" ;) The teeth jokes are *awesome*, I hope they keep going next series.

I was up 'til 5am last night and will be again tonight I think, trying to get everything recorded. Sigh. As much as I like that we've got another chance to record everything, it is easier when there's just one a week. >_< Must remember to record the new series as it happens. Hhmm, hadn't thought of that. Still, there'll probably be more marathons on so I can catch it next time. ;) There can never be too much Hamster. At least we know where he gets his shortness from! There seems to be a lot of "awwwwing" through laughter when Hamster's getting teased. :) It's sort of like you feel a little bit sorry for him but it's too funny not to laugh. Hamster seems to go with teasing more than James - Hamster'll join in and cheerfully fight back while James seems to get a little more offended. :) He should get teased more though, to even things up a bit.

*harts Hamster* I had a complete "WTF?" reaction, because *James*? Why? Okay, James fansites are... wrong. Ngh. Hamster needs a fansite! :D Not beyond help, we're just... a little obsessed. A little. ;) I'm pretty much a lost cause after seeing the episode with him and the puppy again today. Aaaaaaawwwwwwwww does't even begin to cover it.

*bounces* I always have that issue and then I worry and fret and I get home and it's not the day I thought it was. Well, if you had missed it I'd have sent you a copy ;) Lots and lots of squeeing. He is nice to listen to, I like it when he does the voiceovers even when he's totally not involved in whatever it's about. We should, although the list of things to write to people about is getting long ;) They so are, I loved it in the Paris episode where that was a "more important thing".

5am is never good, especially in the summer because I'd had days where I wondered why it was light outside and why I was still awake. Much, much easier, although the older episodes are great because I haven't seen all of them! UKTV People will always show marathons, I don't think you have to worry ;) Maybe someone who sorts their tv schedule likes Hamster too. You do feel sorry for him because he's so cute when he's being teased and then he puts on the cutest look *ever* but he does take it well. But then it's also funny and you have to laugh. I love it when he teases back because Jeremy is just like 'OMGWOE' which is amusing. James takes everything so personally which is hilarious. And when he wins things he always looks so chuffed. Hamster should tease him more when they're on the boat/plane/train and racing Jeremy because then James has no back up.

*harts him too* You see, you have to have James on the show to be the normal British guy, and not just a squabbling child like Hamster and Jeremy, but you just can't like him more than Hamster. It's not possible. No, don't tempt me! I already went to look at domain names. Bad Holly. Mmm, yes. A little obsessed. But he is worth obsession. Awwwwwwwwww, cute. Every episode makes me a lost cause. He was dancing on the boat where they're racing Jeremy to Oslo and it was hilarious, but still adorable.

Especially in the holidays I find, days all blur together. It is genuinely hard to remember what day it is, though I'm a little ashamed to admit it'd probably be much harder without TV. Yay! :D It's fun to have someone who can send me things I miss and vice versa. And to squee like crazy with, not that we do a lot of that, ahem. ;) He is fun with the voiceovers, I love it when he talks over the Stig's laps occasionally instead of Jeremy. So very long, we should really write it down. :) That was an awesome moment in the Paris episode. ^_^ The 'echo' *killed* me.

Going to bed when it's light outside has to be one of the weirdest experiences ever, because there's light and birds and people getting up but you're going to sleep. It's kinda fun sometimes though. ;) I haven't seen many of the older episodes either. I'm annoyed that I missed recording the one of Hamster getting dropped into a swimming pool in a car; I only got about a minute of it but no doubt it'll be on again, yay for UKTV People! It's likely someone there does, because how could they not love Hamster? ;) The cute look he gets when he's being teased is adorable beyond words but I think it's just that he takes it so well that makes it really funny. It's almost like he's resigned to being teased forever but him teasing back is awesome. I'm never going to be able to see Jeremy's face when Hamster's teasing him now though and not think "OMGWOE". ;) It was quite cute when James won the 1,500-car challenge and kept saying "I'VE WON SOMETHING ON TOP GEAR!" as if it was the best thing ever, it was quite fun to see him win just to hear it. Hamster and him in the plane were funny, though I guess he couldn't tease him *too* much in case James crashed it. ;) He should tease him more though. I was amused when I watched the Oslo race last night, to see that Hamster was sleeping topless but James was wearing pyjamas, it just struck me as exactly,/i> what you'd expect. :)

*needs a Hamster *hart* icon* James is the 'typical Brit' of the show, it probably wouldn't work as well without him there as a balance but Hamster... Hamster is the best. *TEMPTS* Hamster needs the love. He's only short, he needs backup in the form of adoration. ;) Good Holly, you need to make Hamster a site... *tempts more* So worth obsession. I specifically watched the Oslo episode last night for that dancing and I almost died trying not to laugh loud enough to wake the 'rents. He was so dorky but so completely adorable. I have to say, it made me wish I could think of James as even remotely slashable though, 'cause if it had been Andy and Roger sharing that cabin together? The squee might've killed me. :)

They really do. I also work out what day of the week it is by the tv schedule ;) *looks at people who think we're odd* It's helpful, okay! :D That is definitely a good thing, especially with the squeeing. I love having someone I can squee over Top Gear with, it's awesome :D We should start writing them down as we know that the list will just get longer. It really was fantastic. It was just the way that it *should* have been about something car related and it was about his teeth.

Yeah, my dad goes to work at like, 6.30 and was like 'why are you still awake?' which was odd in itself. I don't have any of the really old ones which don't have James in, but they do have some other guy. I have that and I know I do because I put it on a DVD yesterday. The DVD will be in the mail when I find time to go to the post office, although I need your Lancaster address. Hamster is adorable and I think everyone loves him. Ever. It is just adorable, I love that he doesn't really take it seriously and when he does tease back it's even better. There was one episode I saw yesterday where he teased himself for being short!. He knows that he's always going to get teased, because that's the nature of the show. *halo* It is "OMGWOE" though! It was cute! I think that's the only time he's ever won anything and even better when he got Jeremy to say he was a clot and he ruined his car. The plane thing was just great. I loved Hamster eating the KitKat bar and James telling him to stop moving so much. He should tease him more. The Oslo race is great, and I totally did not notice that. I think I saw still laughing at the dancing. It really is just what you would expect!

*also needs that icon* It would stop us from saying it so much ;) You have to have James but Hamster is definitely the best. And I actually did it and now I just have to find time to make it. So Hamster will have a site too, because he is totally worth obsession and adoration. It is totally hilarious, but he's just so cute! No one should be that cute when dancing that badly. Same, my brain wanted to do something but James is so unslashable. All that wasted opportunity. Just the thought of them sharing a cabin like that makes me squee :D

Some people just don't understand the importance of TV. ;) It makes more sense to count things in terms of how many days there are to the next episode of Top Gear and such, that's what matters. I've never actually found anyone who's so much as *heard* of Top Gear on LJ before, so it's very awesome. :D There's so much to squee over and it's not so much fun on your own. We really should. Right. Where did we start? Exactly, I was expecting some insightful point and then it was more Hamster-teasing. *giggles*

I get that reaction. Parents don't seem to have any concept of sleeping at other times than between 11pm and 9am but sleep is sleep, whenever you get it. :) I've never seen any of the really old ones either, though if this is the seventh series then the ones without James must've been all the way back in... '98? '97? Ages ago anyway. AAAHH DVD AWESOMENESS! :D I'll post my Lancaster address for you, yay! You are awesome. :D Hamster does have an irresistible-adorableness about him, though I was a little weirded out when my mother admitted she liked him too. ;) It's great that he doesn't take himself too seriously. Thing is, he's not actually *that* short. He's still a few inches taller than me, not that I'm all that tall either. ^_^ It wouldn't be Top Gear without the 'Hammond bashing' as Jeremy named it. That's just it, it *is* 'OMGWOE' and it's going to have me cracking up every time he does the face. It's good to see someone other than Jeremy win, even if he did twist it round so he 'won' that time too (it was worth it to hear him say he was a clot. ^_^) The KitKat moment was fantastic. Pretty much all Hamster in that plane was fantastic. :D The dancing does deserve lots of laughing, it was quite insane. Though him having a hangover in the morning probably explains his willingness to dance like that. ;) It's sad that we don't get to see Andy and Roger doing things like it, because the sheer amount of things we could use in fic... I mean, just from watching a few episodes of Top Gear this holidays, I probably know more fic-useful things about Hamster than I do about Roger or Andy. Okay, maybe not *quite* but close. Someone needs to make Andy and Roger do a TV show together.

Yep, it would minimise the effort of Hamster squeeage. :) They couldn't all be small and adorable because it wouldn't be as cute when they tease Hamster. ;) OMGAWESOME!! :D!! YAY for Hamster-site, you are brilliant. Any help you want, just ask, because the Hamster love should be spread to the world. :D His dorky-dancing was unbelievably cute, like his shirts. They shouldn't work but they do. James is possibly the least slashy person I've come across, which is woeful when there could be so much good slash from their races. :( Me too, the squee might actually kill me if it ever happened. :D

TV is a very important part of life, especially Top Gear with the snark and the Hamsterness and the stupidity. Squeeing is never as much fun on your own, it's much better to share the squee. Uh... I don't remember. We definitely wanted to write to the BBC/Wimbledon people about releasing Andy and Roger's 2004 final. Or... maybe it was the BBC about releasing the show of Top Gear on DVD. And that is what makes it an awesome show :D Though, you should really always expect Hamster teasing.

Precisely. As long as you sleep then it's okay. The ones without James were aaages ago, I wouldn't have known there were ones without James if some other guy hadn't been on the DVDs. (The bought DVDs.) *writes down address* Everyone likes him, you can't not like Hamster. It's not possible, I don't think. It's true, it's just that Jeremy is freakishly tall and so he appears short. He's about the same height as me, so yeah, not that short! I will also crack up next time he does the face because it's hilarious purely because he doesn't expect it. But he admitted he was a clot and so it was definitely worth it, although I do like it when other people win. I like the one where they buy Porshe's for £1500 and Jeremy's leaks petrol everywhere. Because he doesn't win. I loved Hamster in the plane. They should take planes more often like that. Ah, true, and then he was sick which was bad. (And got teased for it.) Them having a TV show together may actually kill me. I would suggest we write to someone about that but I'd have no idea who and dying wasn't on my list of things to do. Though, it would be fantastic.

Mainly because you can't have short cute people teasing other short cute people. It wouldn't work. I will probably end up asking for help, knowing me ;) Hamster love should be spread everywhere. Things which will only work on Hamster: ugly shirts, dorky dancing, being small and cute. So much opportunity, it's sad. Although, there's an episode where they spend the night in a Smart Car together. Which always made me wonder. Dying = bad. Very bad. So Andy and Roger should definitely not share a cabin.

I know they show a version of it over in America, somewhat edited, but I'm not sure on which channel or when. It is worth looking out for though, just for the cute snarkiness of it all. And the boyishly-mad squeeing over pretty cars, which never gets old. ^_^
