Dec. 11th, 2005 08:44 pmAll I want for Christmas is for Roger Federer to go on Top Gear.
edit: I also just texted in for Murray to win BBC Sports Personality of the Year but I think it was a waste of 35p, because I don't see how anyone can beat Ellen McArthur.
I am wondering if Roger's there, because he won the Overseas Personality of the year in 2004 but I haven't spotted him and I doubt they'd give it to the same person two years running. Especially when 2005 was - if this can be said - an anticlimax after 2004 for him.
And now I'm going to shut up about him and squee over Top Gear a little more. It was *awesome* this week.
Oh my god, what is Paula Radcliffe wearing? o_O
edit: Well Roger was nominated but he didn't win. I am a little dismayed he was beaten by a *cricketer* -- sorry Impy but I'm with Jeremy Clarkson on this; cricket is mindbogglingly dull ;) -- but hey, he has a nice accent so it's okay. :)
edit: OH MY GOD WHAT IS KELLY HOLMES WEARING?! O_O
edit: OH MY GOD ELLEN MCARTHUR CAME SECOND?
edit: Awwwwww. She said "Andrew" and I went "!!!!!!!!!!!!" and then she said "Flintoff" and I was *sulk*.
Poor Murray. Just wait until he wins Wimbledon. A golden trophy is better than a jar of smelly ashes any day. ;-)

Date: 2005-12-11 09:34 pm (UTC)Switzerland and its cows kills me completely, just for the sheer quaintness of it all. I love how much they love their cows.

Date: 2005-12-11 09:59 pm (UTC)Mmm, Switzerland. I think we should all go one day, make it a tennis slasher trip. :D We could all giggle at the cute cows
and do research for fic while we were there.no subject
Date: 2005-12-11 10:15 pm (UTC)It's so pretty there. That would be totally awesome
and we could stalk Rogerand look at the cows. The many, many cows.no subject
Date: 2005-12-11 11:56 pm (UTC)I've only been to Austria, which was frustratingly close but oh-so-far from Switzerland. *sighs* Switzerland looks *gorgeous*, I love mountains. :) It really would be awesome to go there with fellow tennis slashers
who would totally want to stalk Roger alsoand admire the pretty cows. :) Add it to the list of things we have to do!no subject
Date: 2005-12-12 02:28 pm (UTC)And poor, normal and sane Mardy has to spend 10 minutes convincing Andy that "No, he loves you more than the Ferrari, and no, he isn't humping the Jag right now."
;)

NOT AN IMAGE I NEED IN MY HEAD WHILE TRYING TO DO A TEST ON VICTORIAN POETRY. Oh god, Roger humping a Jag. Emily Bronte has *nothing* on that mental image. Oh god.
If I start laughing in the middle of the silent lecture hall now, it'll *so* be your fault. ;-)

Date: 2005-12-12 05:20 pm (UTC)I'd love to go to Austria, that also looks pretty. I haven't actually stayed there, just driven through it on the way to and back from Italy (sound familiar?) but it was gorgeous and there was snow and I would love to actually *go* there for a holiday. It would be the most awesome holiday ever with the tennis slashers
and not just because of stalking Roger. We could visit Juliette. *adds* You know, maybe I should start writing some of this down. It would be the best list of things to do ever.no subject
