Flatmates are back from ball. Much with the funny drunkenness. I don't think I've *ever* actually seen S that drunk, are at least not showing it as much as she is. Considering she's had one hour of sleep in the last thiirty six or so, and how many bottles of wine it sounds like she went through? I'm amazed she's still standing. Possibly there's something in that 'no drinking until 21' law. Although one guy did put his jacket around his staggering, shivering girlfriend as I was watching all the people get off the buses and it was quite sweet but still. Freshers had a terrible night because their friend from next door spent nearly the entire time throwing up. On balance, I'm pretty glad I stayed at home.

I have wasted the entire night tonight and I'm not even sure how. Um. I'm going to sleep and be ashamed now. Possibly I should tie myself to the computer to get some work and fic and various things done tomorrow. Actually, scratch possibly, I really have to.

Where has my term gone? I didn't think even I could waste ten weeks like this. Um. :-/

No. You can't change the age of drinking law, it would be wrong. And yet I still insist I'm not an alcoholic. Having read your next post I should probably warn you that fire alarms are traditional after hall balls. Then again, at ours, the police being called became kind of traditional too, and I don't think that says good things.

Our ended up with the police too, although I will admit that it was because we were getting them every night as someone set them off on purpose. *still wants to kill whoever that was*

*Every* night? o_O At least this is the first stupid-time-of-the-night one we've had this term. Even last year people would leave a few days or weeks between them. If we had one person setting it off all the time, their life would not be worth living if they got found out. -_- Ggrrr, people.

I think something like 99.8% of the student population would agree with you, so I'd never dare even suggest actually changing it. ;) The combined wrath of the UK's students would be quite a terrifying thing. And yeah, I should've expected it. *sighs* It's just everyone's been so *good* this term, we haven't had any at stupid times of the morning. We've never actually had the police called. ;) Even the firemen take their time now, knowing that it's just us all playing silly buggers.
