Nov. 21st, 2005 05:20 pmHEATING IS FIXED, OMGLOVE.
Sorry. That *really* needed to be yelled as loudly as possible. :D I can have a hot shower! I may dance a jig of glee any minute now, especially since I checked my post to find Ace waiting for me with a big shiny article on Andy, accompanied by many glossy pictures. Why do my Mondays always start off badly but end on a good note?
I'm going to have a celebratory cinnamon bagel before I do my creative writing, and then I've just remembered that Monday is my designated 'do no work, fic all night instead' night. Does anyone want anything immediately-as-in-the-next-day-or-so, or should I work on Datta? Hhhmm. Choices.
Oh, and when I bought the papers today to get articles on that thing I'm not mentioning anymore, I found the best unrelated newspaper headline:
"Fairies stop developers bulldozers in their tracks."
Genuine 'fairies'. Apparently a colony of them lives under a rock in the field that was going to be built on and the locals and even the council protested, because any building work around the rock would 'disturb' the fairies. So they've had to redesign the entire thing to incorporate a park for the rock in the middle. The article does in fact include a quote from the council chairman, beginning, "I do believe in fairies..."
I love my utterly insane country. ^__^
Bagelwards now. Mmm.

Date: 2005-11-22 05:55 pm (UTC)You got in first, so Datta it is. ;-) Not to mention that it's about time I put some real effort into it.

Date: 2005-11-22 06:13 pm (UTC)Yay!!! Even if that means being forced to wait for forever!! ;-) Considering you said you'd do it for NaNoWriMo and the month is nearly over? Yeah, I think so. ;-)

Date: 2005-11-22 06:41 pm (UTC)Well it's work on Datta or go back to staring at Underneath blankly. I know exactly *what* I want to write, I just can't make it sound right. Datta's the easier option. And I know, I just have no idea what I've done this month. I've wasted so much time. *shame*

Date: 2005-11-22 07:08 pm (UTC)Yay for Datta! So if Datta is the easier option, does that mean we get it soon?? ;-) *giggles* Whereas I am nearly done with my NaNo and I only decided to do it 'cause of you! :-P

Date: 2005-11-21 05:55 pm (UTC)I had a big oversquee excitement moment when I was in Borders last week and saw the Ace with Andy and had to call home to make sure it was waiting for me. Otherwise I would have stood there and read it.
LOL, fairies. Only in Britain would that happen. Nowhere else in the world would they stop building for *fairies*. I avoided the newspapers today because I know the articles just would have made me mad in one way or another. And besides, they'd all say the same thing anyway.

Yep, our country is completely mad. ^_^ *Fairies*, honestly. The papers weren't actually too bad, what little attention they gave to it amidst all the football and rugby stuff. The Independent quotes Roger as sayinf "But the better guy won today. He was way better in the third and the fourth and fifth. He totally deserved to win." Which was sweet enough to make up for anything irritating he's said this week. It's not just sucking up to Roger either; they were pretty nice about Nalbandian too. Occasionally the British press do get something right. :)

Date: 2005-11-21 06:17 pm (UTC)Also...fairies? That's...kinda cool. I think that may become my new excuse for not having fic done. Nope, sorry, couldn't write it. Fairies. You understand.
