Okay. Andy's website just gave me a heart attack. Jesus, can't they warn people before they completely rearrange these things?

I don't like it. Unlike Roger's redesign which made things easier to find, Andy's is now more confusing. Honestly, if something ain't broke...

edit: Oh and they've so stolen the changing header idea from the ATP website. Hah.

edit: I meant to say something else and Andy's website distracted me, damn him. I meant to say that it's now easy (with a little creative search options to sort it from all the Prince of Tennis links) to find tennis slash through Google. There are people recommending tennis slash fic on forums, linking to LJs and Deuce and everything. Given that a year and a half ago I searched for tennis slash to find nothing and it now takes me days just to add all the new fic to PS, I am impressed beyond words. I think we're an official, established fandom. It's such a bizarre feeling. I love it.

edit: Oh... I just looked at the list of scoobydumblonde's fic I have to add and made a sort of "nghurk" noise. That's a lot of fic. I really need to update more often. And I *really* have to stop re-reading all the very distracting smut. :)

His website is a bit more confusing now. *nods* I'm sorry for mentioning this, because you're obviously busy, but on PS you have Ferrer listed for fics that are about Nalbandian. Hmm... They could have stolen the header from other places. Personally, I think the ATP stole it from the MSN website. But that's just me. :P

Absolutely. Prince of Tennis has become the bane of my life because it tends to take over any search for 'tennis slash' but if you go to the 'Advanced Search' option at the right side of the Google search box, you can search for tennis slash results without the word 'Prince' in them, which usually sorts it out. I searched for 'tennis slash fiction' with the exact phrase 'tennis slash' and without the word prince, which got me four pages of pretty relevant results. The discussion was - weirdly - at the official Busted message board, from people I don't think I've ever seen actually take an active part in the fandom and they actually link directly to your Want. :) And gamesetmatch too. Thanks for pointing that out. :) It feels kind of weird to know that people you've never talked to actually read and recommend your writing. :P And they actually liked one of the very few Roger/Andy fics that I've ever managed to write without my Roger!muse turning evil. Although I have a long fic idea started that going to be a Roger/Andy AU fic that's still set in the tennis world.

I know what you mean; I always wonder who's lurker-reading my fic and finding recs at least lets me know they liked it. ^__^ I love that fic, so I can see why they recced it. And YAY!! I love AUs that are close to the real tennis world. Andy/Roger, well, goes without saying I love that. :D Can't wait to read it.

I like knowing that people like my fic especially since I'm really self-conscious about it. It was inspired by this comment that was said at Wimbledon, I think, about how Andy is a brilliant player who could be number 1 except for the fact that he was unlucky enough to be born at the same time as Roger. So basically, I'm setting his age back a couple years. I don't know what I'm going to do about Rafa though. It's going to take a long time to write because I'm going to have to rewrite some of the history of the game.

It is really nice to know. :) Ooo, I remember that comment and how sorry I felt for Andy because it's so true; he'd probably have won Wimbledon twice by now without Roger. Rafa's good true, but he's not Roger-good, no matter what kind of year he's had. Andy at his best, without Roger hanging over his head? I think he could give Rafa a pretty good fight, especially on hard courts and *definitely* on grass. I'm happy to wait though, knowing it's in the works. ^__^ It's better to take the time to do the background stuff and have it turn out better for it.

Ack, you changed yoru journal again!!! It makes me want to do mine all Christmas-y because Christmas, but then I don't because I don't want to lose Andy.

I've been meaning to do it for weeks; the other banner was just temporary. It's been driving me crazy everytime I read my journal. :) I'm thinking this'll stay for the winter now, or at least for while. Redoing it all for Christmas might drive me crazy. ^__^

I have a mortal fear of letting green and red near my journal, because I just know it'll end up driving me crazy. :) I guess I could stick some holly on the header or something. I am completely inept with LJ code; if someone hadn't done it for me, I'd be lost. :) Photoshop, still kinda working on it. I do still have half-finished tutorials floating around that I need to finish for everyone sometime.

I'm just happy that people can *find* the fandom now; it was utterly depressing to not find anything last year. And I think there must be a healthy Chinese tennis slash fandom, because there was that girl who translated Bounty into Chinese. Makes me *really* want to learn Chinese, since the auto-translations are terrible. I want to know what the Chinese tennis slashers' fic is like. ^__^
