Okay, so earlier Lilly V pointed out this *really* bad WWE fic on ff.net (where else?!) that she'd reviewed trying to be helpful and got it basically thrown back in her face. I was in a charitable mood earlier so I thought "Look, if we can make just ONE Mary-Sue writer *think* about how to write better then we'll be doing the world a favour, right?" So I reviewed, giving careful advice on how I thought she could improve the fic, and basically trying to back Lilly up. And she's just updated, saying "You know what Cloudy Magic...1st of all if you don't' like it don't read it (thank you, I'll take that advice with pleasure - Clo)..2nd I am proud of all the things I write because I don't write them for you or for anyone one else but me (So why is she posting them on ff.net?!!). if people happen to read it well then OK. As for wasting time...I am not wasting anyone's time. The only person wasting time is you."
Obviously. Let this be a lesson to all ye who would try and do good for the fiction world. Mary-Sue writers are a lost cause. And in the words of this particular Mary-Sue writer "So whatever!"
I'm going to be giggling about that all night, especially since I just got two good reviews for the latest chapter of LotV. When people give me constructive critisim I listen, because I know from experience they usually know what they're talking about. Is there a plague or a disease that simply makes people UNABLE to accept critisim, no matter how constructive? *sighs* Well although I failed, at least I tried. Sorry if I pissed you off little Mary-Sue writer, I wouldn't want to interrupt your girl-meets-Undertaker-falls-in-love-finds-out-she's-Jeff-Hardy's-brother fic now would I?!!! Sock, horror that I would even dream of such a thing!
Yeah. So. Hear the sarcasm.
On a final note: "Also look at how many people have written stuff almost exactly like mine and no one is banned. That means the people have no problem with it."
The people that have a problem with it probably just have more sense than to try and help. I should take a hint from them in future.
