Oh man. My internet has been working just fine since I got here but I'd forgotten how insane the first few days are. I got up at 9am today and I literally didn't stop until half five when I locked myself in my room with a cup of coffee to watch Neighbours. After which I was off again, making dinner for the new freshers with S and going to the shop with A who'd just arrived from Cyprus and who's coming to my room to 'catch up' in a minute and really, all I want is two seconds alone to sit down and sort the disaster area that is my unpacking out. Seriously, mess. You cannot see my bed.

Also, I think I have a noisy fresher in the room below me. S/he's watching football with the volume turned *waaay* up. There will be murder committed if this goes on all year.

I lost my posters from last year. :-( I put them in such a safe place, I can't find them. So last night was somewhat depressing in an empty white room and after I woke up in the middle of last night with a blank white wall in front of me - which I've *never* had before, I've always had insane colours or pictures or posters - and had a brief "AAAHHHWHERETHEHELLAMI?" moment, I spent a fortune on posters today. I still have huge gaps to fill but it's starting to feel more like home again.

But right now, I really just want to spend the rest of the night unpacking and 'decorating' and just generally not talking since that's all I've done for the last forty eight hours. I'm clinging to my sanity but only just.

But my recorded tennis DVDs work in my DVD player. This makes me very happy since I can watch Roger almost hit himself on the head with his trophy from the Thailand match yesterday over and over. He's so adorable when he's being a dork. And Murray did so well, I'm so proud of him.

Okay. Going away to cling to my sanity some more. Just wanted to let everyone know I'm alive, though not very coherent through tiredness after climbing up and down six flights of stairs at least fifteen times today.

Okay, Roger almost hit himself on the head with his trophy?? *giggles* How?? And Andy M did really well, just from what I saw of the final scores. *pets him*

*snuggles* Yay for aliveness. Now, go nap!

He did. :D He was holding it up for the photographers and one of the important Thai guys offered him a hand to shake. So Roger took one hand off the trophy and almost hit himself in the head with it as it wobbled.

It was a *very* big trophy though. *giggles* And Murray did so very well. He broke Roger's serve in the second set and I almost died of glee. Him and Roger were talking the whole time they were being photographed at the end too. It was really cute. :)

*snuggles back* Aliveness is good! I was still unpacking until 2am though. ;-) Still, I'm much more awake now.

Oh God. That's so cute! *snuggles Roger* What a dork!!

I've noticed that Roger likes chatting with the people he beats at the end, though some like Agassi don't like to talk back.

*snuggles more* Sheesh! You've got a lot of crap... or you procrastinate a lot??

It was such a cute moment. *giggles* You'd think by now he'd be a pro at juggling trophies and officials but I do love his dorky moments. They make him Roger. *snuggles him too*

Now you mention it, I've noticed him chatting with the people he's beaten too. *ponders* Usually I'm squeeing too hard over him talking to Andy to notice a pattern. ;-) Murray was plenty happy to talk back; in fact, I think he started the conversation with a comment on the size of Roger's trophy. *grins*

I hope they play again. They're almost as cute playing each other as Roger and Andy R. :D

*snuggles back more* Nah, my dad brought a second load of stuff up on Monday, so I'd only just half-unpacked the first lot before I had another load dumped on me. There was carnage for a while. :) All sorted now though!

These last few days I haven't had time to procrastinate. -_- I'm going to catch up on it tonight, with a flat almost-to-myself. :)

*grins* *pets Roger* He is such an uber-dork, even though he tries to act all sophisticated and stuff.

I think he's trying to make them all feel better about losing to him, so he tries to make them laugh. *snorts* Yeah, I bet Andy M was refering to how big his "trophy" is. and right now, I hate you! THat just gave me a plot bunny. *scowls*

No one can be that cute! Except maybe Andy R v. Mardy.

*snuggles* Yikes! You do have a lot of crap. Yay for being all sorted though.

*grins* You're going to catch up on your procrastination?? *ponders*

*snuggles back* I'm so happy that my internet worked. :) Even though I haven't been on it much, it's nice to know it's there.

*pounces on Andy and Roger* Mmmmm. Not sure how much unpacking will get done... ;-)

I think I shall laugh at you now. First few days here are always slow. Slow, slow, slow.

*wails* S'not fair. I want slow, slow would be lovely. I think it's just 'cause I'm surrounded by flatmates who all want my attention for one thing or another and I was starting stress. It's better after I slept in this morning though. :)

Well, granted that I'm not in res it's slow. The res people may have more trouble. But here, classes are slow. The teachers don't want to teach until ideally the second week (we start on a Wednesday) but they'll start in Friday if they have to.

Oh yeah, our classes don't start until Monday. I think it was just with the unpacking and flatmates and running around like a headless chicken trying to sign up for everything in between that was insane.

And I hate my teachers right now. They've almost completely changed our reading list over the summer and they want us to read Middlemarch over Christmas. -_- I'd rather they were lazy.

See? It's just res that's crazy. And res is supposed to be crazy because they want to get rid of you as soon as possible.

See, I'm lucky in that our teachers can't assign summer reading. *evil laugh* So they have the summer to decide and we get one list.

Roger was cute with the trophy :D Especially when he almost hit himself with it. (I loved how he said he wanted to spend the rest of the year on the beach! Wouldn't we all...)

And I'm just the same with posters. I cannot have blank wall space. It scares me.

He really was. ^__^ (And me too! He's getting so good at post-match interviews now. Andy R. had better watch out or he'll be upstaged after their next match. ^__^)

It really is scary, especially with white walls. -_- I've managed to cover most of mine now, though not as much as last year. Just enough to keep me sane. I can't imagine how some people can live in rooms with blank walls.

*pets Roger* I don't think anyone could upstage Andy R. I don't think it's possible.

That reminds me to put one of my posters back up. Blu-tack hates me a lot.
