The basic gist of a conversation that happened a couple of hours ago:

*phone rings*

Me: Hello?
Brother: Hey. Look, I know it's short notice but if you still want to come down for Serenity tonight, you can. They let us out this work thing three hours early, so I'll be getting back about half six.
Me: ... I can't get down there in time. The last direct train went an hour ago.
Brother: Oh. Oh well, come down in October and we'll go see it. Sorry about the mix-up.
Me: Yeah, it's okay.
Brother: ... I'll probably still go tonight with some friends.
Me: ... Yeah. Have fun.
