Apparently the snippet of Halo I posted for the tennis slashers last night killed at least three people. Waking up as a mass murderer is somewhat odd. :D
Our summer is *finally* cooling down. Still not autumn yet, but it's almost there. Whee! I love autumn. It has good things, like pretty trees and my birthday. ^__^ Plus, frost. Mmmmm. I miss frost.
Woke up this morning, got dressed. Looked in the mirror, decided no one should have dark circles that big around their eyes and went back to sleep again for an hour. I really need a good ten, twelve hour sleep before next week. My US Open coverage is awesome, better even than Wimbledon but it goes on till like four in the morning, so I'm not going to be getting many early nights over the next two weeks. Not to mention I have way too much to do after I finish Halo and I need to be awake to do it. The pile of forms I need to send back to Lancaster is getting ever-higher and I still haven't got my deposit back. *sighs* I'm gonna have to ring up and get whined at.
On the plus side, I'm looking forward to being back in Lancaster. Mostly anyway; it's going to suck only having one fridge shelf again, and having to worry if my music is too loud and such but I'll have the first week without lectures, and I'll know everyone, or most of them, and my way round and stuff... It'll be nice to run my own life again, without the 'rents interfering. :)
I haven't done a post like this in far too long. *blinks* Mundane details of my life and such. It's kinda nice. It's 'cause I've worked out why I was having such trouble writing Halo; I'd have it open in the background *all* day but be trying to do it inbetween everything and it was ending up with me not doing anything. If I do everything else, then spend a few hours just concentrating on fic, I should finish it, I hope.
Another nap would be nice too. MMmm..

edit: Oh and also, firstly I am OUTRAGED that only people in Switzerland can get Roger's DVD right now. If there are legal reasons then they should've waited until they were sorted out; it's not fair to taunt all his international fans like that because, let's face it, Roger probably has more fans not in his own country than any other player. I did start desperately planning a way, *any* way for me to get over to Switzerland to get it, regardless of what language the damn thing is in. Or if I could just persuade the 'rents when they go on holiday next month to go somewhere close, so they could just hop across the border and get me one... alternatively I could buy a plane ticket, fly there, buy a DVD and fly home again. I haven't written that option off yet.
I like that nearly every single comment is along the lines of "Great! Now when can *I* get a damn copy?" Shows I'm not the only one.
And my other thing to say is also Roger related; reading the list of things he's doing in New York, presiding over stock markets bells and lunch with the NY Times and attending launches of magazines and...
You think the poor guy ever gets bored? I mean, *stock markets*.
Though I would love to have lunch with the NY Times. Yes, I hate journalists but the writer in me is going into spasms of delight at the mere thought.
