About 1am last night Halo was doing well, but had to turn the laptop off to let it cool down for a while. Sat down on the bed to keep handwriting the next part - woke up six hours later wondering why I was dreaming about white christmases in August.
And also to the news that Andy lost. Some, impossible how, he lost.
I hate you Andy Roddick. You were supposed to win. Not to mention I owe
liroa15 major fic when she gets back for suggesting she go to a tennis tournament and then nearly all our boys aren't there for her to watch. *guilt*
Going to wake up and try to finish Halo without thinking about the fact I hate Andy right now. It might be his bad luck that I was thinking last night that I'd never written the third ficlet/fic in the Watch Me Fall universe.
Also?
greeniebach, you were giggling when you sent my Break Point Challenge right? *grins* Guess I'd better do some research.
Andy, I still hate you.

EDIT: On the plus side of life? I just got my Wimbledon ballot application form. Reading through the info, in addition to the chance for a pair of tickets side by side, there's also a chance I could get either a pair of tickets that aren't next to each other, or a single ticket. Can you imagine if, say, me or
wolves8 got allocated *one* ticket for the Men's Singles final or something like that? Or if there were three of you who desperately wanted to go but you couldn't because the ballot only allocates tickets in pairs? Wimbledon has the stupidest, suckiest ticket system in the world. Apparently they're under 'considerable pressure from neighbours and police' to stop people queuing overnight for tickets - and you know what the simple answer would be? Sell the tickets on the goddamn internet like any other tournament!
Special, tradition, unique, blah blah. I'm all for tradition, but then, beheading was practically a tradition over here a few hundred years ago. Someone needs to hit the Wimbledon organisers with the heavy stick of Modernity.
All of which of course, isn't going to stop me entering. I want to go to Wimbledon next year dammit.

Date: 2005-08-10 09:54 am (UTC)I never even considered that he might lose, not in the first round. Roger not being there seems to have jinxed all the top seeds. If Andy isn't dead before he leaves Montreal, or at least hasn't been kicked in the pants? I'll be quite surprised. I just can't believe it's going so wrong this year, when last year it was so good. *sighs*

Date: 2005-08-10 10:19 am (UTC)*snuggles tight* I didn't even rush to check the results this morning, just assuming he'd have won. First I heard about it was when I read my f-list. I should be getting the highlights later but... I don't know. I'm losing all enthusiasm for this tournament, which is sad when I loved last year's so much. And it really has. The second half of last year was almost fairytale-like, with Andy and Roger seemingly meeting in every other final but now, with Roger taking so much time off and Andy losing and Marat's knee... I just hope the U.S. Open and Masters Cup helps it to end on a high note after allthe disappointments. And I want Andy to start winning big tournaments again. :( He's too good to suck this badly.

Date: 2005-08-11 10:40 am (UTC)*snuggles again* As much as I like the other guys, I only ever really follow Andy, Roger and Mardy's - when I get them - matches. I like Rafa and Juanqui but it's not the same. *sighs* I am sad Andy dropped out so soon though, when he could've got more points towards catching Lleyton. And if Rafa wins this, as he probably will... we'll probably have to start taking bets on Andy finishing the year ranked fourth or maybe even fifth. I guess as long as he gets to the Masters Cup, it doesn't matter. Yeah, I don't remember hardly any injuries from last year but this year, people are getting hurt all over the place. *sighs* It would be nice if Andy had a little less competition at the U.S. Open I supppose, but it'd be nice to see everyone back too.

Date: 2005-08-11 10:44 am (UTC)I did. :) And I will, no matter what it takes. I should be getting some of my photos back later today from this year, so I shall probably be squeeful later. ^__^
