I *just* get rid of the green-Roger theme off my LJ. Much relief is had all round at the lack of green.
Then Roger launches his new website design.
And it's green.
Sometimes I *swear*, he just likes to be irritating. Because, just look at his photo gallery. Roger, sweetheart, the point of a player having their own gallery on their website is so fans can get photos *without* bloody great copyrights splashed all over them. GettyImages copyrights are less annoying than yours.
*sighs* He tries, bless him.
In other news, I played tennis. Am now dead. Going to collapse until my feet stop hurting. :)

Date: 2005-08-08 08:15 pm (UTC)As far as the picture thing goes... Roger probably doesn't have much control over that... the photographer is usually in charge of whether or not the copyright is splashed all over the stupid picture. *snarls*
Did you have fun playing tennis at least?

Date: 2005-08-08 09:25 pm (UTC)I must admit, I absolutely love the little box in the top corner, telling the currect temperature, time, weather etc. at his latest tournament. I can see that coming in handy for fic. :D
*sighs* Most websites tend to actually buy the photos though, so they can display them copyright-free. Roger personally may not have much control over it, but his friend runs the website, so he could certainly pay for watermark-free photos from Getty and other photographers. I think that's what Andy's website does, though they then stick the 'andyroddick.com' thing on them all. I think it's just the sheer annoyingness of the copyright on his pictures too - they actually ruin the pictures, unlike Getty's and Andy's copyrights, which ar tolerable. I love pictures. Ruining them with stupid copyrights like that.... grrrrr. And there are such pretty pictures of Roger on there too!
I had *awesome* fun playing tennis. :D We played doubles and singles and just messing around. ^__^ I learned that I cannot serve - though I got better once I tried keeping my arm straight up after the toss - and my backhand? Yeah, if I even hit it, then it goes in the wrong direction. *snickers* I think I need a lot of practise if I want to join the tennis club in Lancaster.
It was great though. Definitely going to play again this summer. :)

Date: 2005-08-10 01:05 am (UTC)That is kinda cool that they have that. :-)
That's true, but maybe this guy runs a stricter operation as far as how his pictures can be used. And since it is copyrighted to the photographer At least I think Siggi BUcher is the photographer then my guess is he doesn't want his pictures appearing all over the internet. Oooh, yeah, there are some absolutely beautiful pictures of Roger on there that I would love sans watermark. *nods*
Yay. I'm glad you had fun. :-)
