Still enjoying this song.

Jeez, feel like I haven't stopped all day today. Been working on Planet Helen since I got home and I'm pleased with some of the changes I've made, especially the new Archives page, although the burning torches have an annoying habit of freezing after a minute or so.

Today flew by. My Psychology test wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, despite Buffy and Angel interrupting my revision. Speaking of which, I found Buffy a bit odd last night. Not enough Spike. *pouts* but mainly just the plot was a bit odd. Did anyone else spot that 'Cassie' was also Sandra Bullock's roomate from '28 Days'? I was amazed I managed to remember that but I love spotting obscure people from a movie in something else. Don't know why. I just hate seeing someone familiar and not being able to remember where I've seen them. Plus I think I saw 28 Days about... well 28 times because everytime it was on Sky I randomly watched it. Oh delicious procrastination.

I've just spent ages looking for who said they loved Smallville because I couldn't remember. *sighs at her bad memory then gives [livejournal.com profile] scoobydumblonde a thumbs up* Clark/Lex totally rules! *drools at the slashy goodness of them* Although I'd love to steal Clark for myself...

*giggles* We were watching Buffy last night (me, the woman ie. the mother and my bro) and my mum asked if Spike was still in the basement of the school. I suddenly said "Damn he can come live in MY basement any day!" and they both give me funny looks. *blushes* Maybe I'd better keep quite about my strange wishes in future. Still, Spike definitely could come live in my basement. If I had one. He's welcome to share the warderobe with Legolas.... *thuds to the floor as she realises the slashy possiblities*

I just took that a step further but I'm gonna shut up because otherwise [livejournal.com profile] unintended_76 will hit me. ^_~ (I hope that LJ name works because I've never tried it before)

Hey [livejournal.com profile] y2jai added me to her friend's list! *looks sheepish for not noticing before* Hi Jai! *waves*

I love the TV at the moment. Oh that reminds me, the things I was going to do - a Rants/Raves list. So (since I'm experimenting with all these fun LJ features like cutting and inserting links to other users)

Current Raves:
1) The theme tune + opening credits of Smallville. I loved it last year and I love it now. And not just because of the cute guy factor, I love the music and the way the pictures fade too.
2) This plot arc of Buffy. It's great, jokes, storylines and acting. Although I can never get enough of James Marsters - this guy deserves a medal, or several, for his acting so far.
3) Scrubs. I've never laughed so much in my life. Okay so that's a lie, but it's still hysterical.
4) Bagenders. This series just keeps on getting better. I love it. *bigs hugs to Lady Alyssa and Random Flatmate. To read it go to: http://bagenders.stormpages.com/ but be warned - excessive laughter will almost definitely follow.

Rants:

1) English. My English teacher delayed me for TWENTY minutes today trying to convince me to like the Colour Purple. I don't like the book okay! Is that such a hard thing to accept? I'll bet if she read some books I like she'd hate them too! Although we did get talking about other books I've read, namely Lord of the Rings and the Philip Pullman 'Dark Materials' series. Still it irritates me that they can't accept that I simply hate the book.
2) Certain people in college, although nothing major - just sometimes I need some 'Me' time on my own.
3)The amount of soap operas on British tv. For crying out loud, is it REALLY necessary?

Right, well I hope all these fun things work. As for the LiveJorunal restrictions, I'm not so much against them as I am wary - I really enjoy the freedom of LiveJournal and hope to one day convince my parents to let me get a Paid Account - if harsh restrictions drive me away then I'll be sad because I enjoy updating my journal everyday.

One more thing; I was researching for Myth in the library today and I found a book that was almost 100 years old! ^-^ I adore old books - this one was first checked out in 1937 and was published 1888!! O_o That is one old book! It was beautiful, but reference only so I could check it out. Still it was a nice surprise finding something that old - I adore my library, I really do.

Love, peace and jelly babies to you all!
