You just know I'll be there.
Jul. 6th, 2005 10:49 pmBefore anything else, I want to say how proud I am of my country for winning the 2012 Olympic bid. *dances* I was watching the announcement at
rainy_roz's this morning and it was wonderful. I've been randomly pausing all day and squeeing "WE GOT THE OLYMPICS OMG!" I've been seeing the advertising for it for months and been all *squee* though I never really thought we'd get it.
Unfortunately I also realised that I'll be 26 when they're on. Which is a woeful thought when I still twitch every time I think about being 20 this year. You're as old as you feel right? 'Cause I feel about sixteen most of the time.
In equally happy news,
scoobydumblonde, I'm so happy you're back ok. We missed you. *snuggles tight*
The Lancaster Uni website has the link for the exam results up but it won't load the pages yet, not until 7am tomorrow. *frets* This is undue torture. It is however stressful enough to distract me from the fact I have a dentist appointment for a root canal tomorrow. A little bit.
...tomorrow is going to be fun. -_-
Dad thought by hanging the bird feeder on a long wire on the same, thin branch that the squirrels wouldn't be able to get to it. So when Nemesis showed up again today, I grabbed the camera and waited to see what he'd do.

He spent a perplexed moment assessing the situation.

Did a skillfully acrobatic head-first dive, clinging by his back feet and grabbing the feeder with his front paws.

Objective successfully accomplished.
Man: 0, Squirrel: 2
Didn't get to sleep till five am again today and I have to roll out of bed at 7am tomorrow for my results, so I probably won't accomplish much tonight. I'm going to catch up on the fic I missed and some comments, grab a shower and go to bed early I think. Mmmmmmm, bed. The plan is to get Underneath done for Friday then have a blitz on Datta when I get back from Cardiff Monday or Tuesday. It will be done next week if it kills me. Plus various other little ficlets and stuff I owe people. *nods* Being accomplished starts Friday. Since tomorrow is going to be miserable. Me and dentists do not get on. I have yet to actually bite anyone's fingers off but I've come close.
Okay, off to accomplish stuff before I fall asleep on the keyboard. :)

Date: 2005-07-06 10:20 pm (UTC)DATTA!!!! I want it!
*snuggles back* I'm glad I'm back too. I missed y'all.

Date: 2005-07-06 10:27 pm (UTC)I'm going to tentatively say I'll have it done - or at least work hard on having it done - for around July 17th. It's all come together in the planning now, and I even have a bigger plotline to carry through the three sequel-spinoffs. *giggles* So, all going to plan, it'll be done for then.
*snuggles back again* It's never the same without you.

Date: 2005-07-06 10:30 pm (UTC)July 17th. *nods* I'd say I'll hold you to that, but we both know better. *giggles* Yay for plots... though if you hurt Mardy or Tommy I will hunt you down!
*snuggles back more* It's stressful being without even a computer... though being able to watch so much tennis was definitely a blessing. :-D

Date: 2005-07-06 10:38 pm (UTC)Well that's what I'm calling a pessimistic estimate - unlike usual, I've given myself more time than I think I need, if I work at it... so hopefully I should have time to procrastinate and still get it done. And if I hurt Tommy or Mardy, you'll hunt me down? o.O
... Maybe you'd better start looking at flights to the UK sometime soon.
*snuggles some more* I pine for my computer when I'm away for even a few days. Only reason I'm happy to be going to my brother's this weekend is that he has a better computer than me. :) And yes, watching tennis makes up for a lot. :D Especially when there's lots of Andy and Roger.

Date: 2005-07-06 10:44 pm (UTC)You'd better! I've been waiting for forever for Datta! You should know by now I'll go to extremes to protect Mardy & Tommy...
Maybe I'll just borrow
*snuggles even more* *nods* I know exactly what you mean. It's crazy how addictive the computer is. Being able to watch Andy was such a delight. I haven't seen many of his matches 'cause he hasn't been doing well, ya know? So, I got to watch a lot of Andy and lots of Roger. I was soooo happy about it!

Date: 2005-07-06 11:55 pm (UTC)*nods* I know, I know. Am terrible. I'm kinda glad I waited though because I didn't realise it needed the bigger plotline until a few days ago... and I'm not gonna be that mean to Mardy and Tommy.
Though if you like Andy at all, you may want to borrow the moose for Dayadhvam which is coming after Datta...
*snuggles extra hard* I'm probably certifiably addicted to the computer. Wake up in the morning, turn the computer on. It's practically automatic. ^__^ And I love to watch Andy play, especially when he's been doing as well as he has at Wimbledon... he's so expressive. :D And yeah, I hate it when they go out early. Makes the tournaments much less fun. :(
Lots of Andy and Roger is wonderful. *snuggles them* They made this Wimbledon very good, with all their talking about each other which made me squee like crazy every time they mentioned each other. It was wonderful.

Date: 2005-07-07 08:52 pm (UTC)Grrrrrr. Not that mean? How can you possibly be meaner? Mardy feels like an outsider, Tommy's insane and was a whore. How can you get meaner??
*growls*
*snuggles more* That's me. I wake up and the first thing I do -- even before coffee -- is turn on the computer.
I've known Andy's a good player, but I'd never really seen him play. He's... wow. Beautiful. And has fun on the court too. Which is adorable!
They need to just admit they love each other and are together and are running away to Spain to get married. :-D

Date: 2005-07-08 12:30 am (UTC)Um... um... Okay, so not much meaner. Much.
*ducks*
*snuggles back more* We're so addicted. Oh well, I like it that way. ^__^
Isn't he? I could watch him just pacing for hours. And the tongue. *dies* He's wicked sticking out that tongue. I love to see him giggling on court too. :D Roger plays awesome tennis but... Andy's the one I like to watch more.
*giggles* They really do. I love how much closer they seem to be getting in RL which will hopefully get even closer with the hard court tournaments where they tend to end up playing each other coming up. They're much easier to slash when they actually act so cute together. *grins*

*throws a juice bottle*
*snuggles even more* We are. And I like it that way too.
Roger's a beautiful player to watch and makes some amazing plays, but he's not animated. He's very, very focused. Andy goes out and has fun... and the tongue kills me every time I see it peeking out.
*grins* They're so absolutely adorable together. Very much attracted to each other even if they don't know it. ;-)
