*sings* Your halo, slipping down...
Jun. 6th, 2005 12:54 amI can't wait to get this cd. *pokes Amazon to make them hurry up* This song especially is beautiful.
Haven't accomplished anything ficwise today. Am starting to realise that I've got so many distractions around here that the rare times I actually get alone should be spent doing work. I mean, I had A in here earlier explaining micro economics to me and all I could think was "You have an exam tomorrow! I have an exam a week tomorrow! WTF are you doing sitting here trying to explain this to me?!!" And as good as watching The French Lieutenant's Woman for English was today, it was really not at all helpful when it came to getting work done because though I *felt* like I'd done some work, I really hadn't. And R's just told me that we get coverage of Queens from Tuesday which is wonderful and awesome, only right now? NOT. HELPFUL.
We do have a plan for Wednesday, which is to go into town with L and R at some disgustingly early time of the morning, like nine-ish, comandeer the squishy sofas in Cafe Nero and have a cramming session there all morning. No distractions of the internet variety, no getting sidetracked by the tennis, no having to make your own coffee, sofas and two other English students to beg for help when you get stuck. *nods* Hopefully it should be a huge help. *touch wood*
But basically, fic will be moving slower than usual until a week on Thursday. Which for me, means about the speed of a snail going backwards. However if I pass my exams, my 'rents will not murder me and you'll actually get more fic in the long term, so there is a silver lining. ;-) And now I am off to bed, because I'm getting up at half nine in the morning to keep working, which for me? Is horribly early.
Oh, but the best thing about today? Flatmate of d00m has somehow got the doctor to give her crutches for her fake!foot injury, and I can't help cracking up everytime she hobbles into the room. Because it's almost the end of term and I'm worrying less about mortally offending her every day, because I don't have to live with her next year! *dances a gleeful jig*
Okay, I'm officially off to bed. *yawns* Night.

Note to self: Drag R to buy the train tickets down to London tomorrow.
