How do you describe the taste of lipstick? All I'm coming up with is 'slimy' and that's just... Ack. ACK.

1500 words is just stupid. I'm at 1507 and haven't had the oh-so-poetic-angsty-fight yet.

*seconds [livejournal.com profile] scoobydumblonde's hugs for [livejournal.com profile] liroa15 and [livejournal.com profile] shana0809* Am thinking about you.

Going to pace for a while now. *deep breath*

taste of lipstick? Sickly. Waxy. that's all I got for you.

Waxy is good. We like waxy. *snuggles* Lifesaver. It's insane how much these little things start to matter at half one in the morning.

Can I be a lime Lifesaver? I like the lime... :-D It is. *snuggles* Hope the thing you're writing is going well.

*giggles* You can. ^__^ *snuggles back* It's going too well and I'm going to be overlength. However if my class can't read an extra 200 words then they shouldn't be doing a Creative Writing course in my opinion, so tough. ;-)

From: [identity profile] scoobydumblonde.livejournal.com
*bounce* YAY! I never understood being given a limit in creative writing. That's... stupid! The whole word creative means you should be able to just let it flow! *shakes head*

From: [identity profile] clo.livejournal.com
*grins* And I know! -_- She said it's because people are busy with all the work we've got right now and they haven't got time to read long pieces. *blinks* Though how reading an extra 500 or so words will take so much time... I don't know. I generally ignore the limits to an extent anyway. *shrugs*

From: [identity profile] scoobydumblonde.livejournal.com
:-D that's so insane. Kinda takes the creative process out of creative writing, imo.

From: [identity profile] clo.livejournal.com
*sighs* Tell me about it. I'm obsessively word counting every line and cutting words out that I'd rather leave in. Not to mention everything has to be rewritten before we submit it *anyway*...

Still, I do love my course. Not so much my crazy tutor. -_-

Date: 2005-04-14 12:57 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] scoobydumblonde.livejournal.com
Sheesh... that's insanity. I couldn't do it. I can't even cut words for drabbles. :-)

I imagine it's a fun course, but the tutor, I'd have to hunt down and strangle. :-D

From: [identity profile] clo.livejournal.com
I actually submitted ten 100 word drabbles a month or so ago, to force myself to keep the word count down... and she ripped them to pieces. *sighs* So much for that plan.

Oh we've been tempted more than once. It's rougher when she's hard on the less confident people in the group who haven't been exposed to years of internet flames. *snuggles them* I feel like sitting her down in front of ff.net and demonstrating why flaming is stupid and pointless sometimes.

Then again she's not always totally useless... Sometimes. *sighs again*

From: [identity profile] scoobydumblonde.livejournal.com
*hugs* She's stupid. And obviously doesn't know a whole lot about the creative process. *kicks her*

Those poor people. It sucks to be flamed. Especially by someone who's supposed to be helping.

It was okay - the rest of the group loved them, which made me feel so much better. :) I think the problem is she's too old fashioned. I'm so happy I discovered the internet and fanfiction. Everyone who wants to do creative writing should spend time online I think. It's like a free creative writing course itself. :)

*nods* And some of them are really good whereas the people who sometimes need a good kicking, she's nice too. It's so frustrating.

From: [identity profile] scoobydumblonde.livejournal.com
Well at least everyone else loved them. *snuggles* The internet is great for fiction writers. It's really good for learning new stuff. :-)

I hate people like that. That's so annoying.

From: [identity profile] clo.livejournal.com
*nods* It was like ten good reviews and one flame. ^__^ *snuggles back* And it really is. I'd still be writing terrible Mary-sues without the Internet. *pets it* ;-)

Ggrr I know. But the lecturer and head of department is fantastic, so it's not all bad. :) It gives me hope for the next two years of the course. ^__^

From: [identity profile] scoobydumblonde.livejournal.com
Enough with the small!! ;-)

That's good. And yeah, I think most writer's would still be writing terrible Mary Sues without the Internet. Or at least writing sucky slash. :-)

That's good at least. But two years for one course? *runs away screaming*

Date: 2005-04-14 01:48 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] clo.livejournal.com
*giggles* Yeah, we really should stop doing that. No matter how fun it is. ;-)

I... I don't even want to think about what my writing would be like without the internet. o_O Ouch. I'd probably still be weirded out if someone mentioned slash to me too. *blinks*

Funny old world.

Very good. And technically three but the first year is practically a walkover. *touch wood* A lot of my friends are doing four. ^__^

Date: 2005-04-14 01:51 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] scoobydumblonde.livejournal.com
*grins* It is fun

*nods* It'd be insane. :-/ *shudders*

Ack! Three?? *runs away screaming louder*

Date: 2005-04-14 01:57 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] clo.livejournal.com
*grins too* Whee! Smallness!

Ick. :-/ Insane in a bad way.

*giggles* So you're not doing a three year course then I take it? ;-)

Date: 2005-04-14 02:00 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] scoobydumblonde.livejournal.com
*giggles* Small is fun on occasion

Exactly!

*grins* No, two years. Though I think in total, I'll have gone four by the time I get my Bachelors Degree... but still... none of my actual class last more than three months.

Date: 2005-04-14 02:28 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] clo.livejournal.com
*nods* It really is. ^__^

*shudders at the thought*

*sighs* I think I'll be bored out my mind after three years of the same thing. Three months! That sounds perfect. Any longer and I start to get twitchy, looking for something new to do. ^__^ Why do we put ourselves through all this just for a piece of paper? *sighs*

Creative Writing finished and submitted, gotta go get some sleep now. *sighs* Talk to you tomorrow - night! :)

Date: 2005-04-14 02:30 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] scoobydumblonde.livejournal.com
*g*

*shudders with you*

Because we're insane and usually those little pieces of paper help to get jobs. Usually. Not always. *pouts*

Yay for finishing Creative Writing Assignments. G-night. Sleep tight.

Date: 2005-04-14 07:24 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] clo.livejournal.com
We shouldn't need pieces of paper to get us jobs! We should just rob a bank and buy an Inmate Island somewhere and all go live there together. In laziness and luxury, in between the frequent fights over the couch and TV control. :)

Grate yay! And I did. ^__^ Mmmmm, sleep.

Date: 2005-04-14 07:27 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] scoobydumblonde.livejournal.com
What fights over TV control? We'll all enjoy pretty much the same stuff... and when we are watching TV we can be writing... *giggles* I like that plan... 'cept the robbing a bank part. ;-)

Sleep is good.

From: [identity profile] clo.livejournal.com
True, true. Though I dread to think of the carnage if the tennis clashed with the wrestling. ;) Though the image of us all sitting around the TV scribbling away is actually really sweet. *snuggles the Inmates* We have to get together one day. Even if we don't rob a bank and buy an island with the money. ^__^

Very true. I really should get more of it but... *shrugs*

Date: 2005-04-14 10:50 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] scoobydumblonde.livejournal.com
We'll just have to have two huge TV's with satellite for both of them. *nods* We do have to get together at some point and have just a big ole Inmate bash.

I should get more too, but school and ficcing... nah. :-D

Date: 2005-04-15 06:14 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] clo.livejournal.com
I like that plan. *nods* It'll minimise the carnage. ^__^ And definitely, just for the craziness fo it. *sighs longingly*

Yeah, there's always something more important. ^__^ You can always catch up on sleep I guess. Fic is more fun.

Date: 2005-04-15 07:25 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] scoobydumblonde.livejournal.com
It's a good plan. Add it to the list! *g* Absolutely. I think I'd be scared of that "reunion". :-D

What is it that one icon of yours says? I can sleep when I'm dead?? ;-)

Date: 2005-04-18 04:42 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] clo.livejournal.com
*adds it to the list* This is getting to be quite a long list. ^__^ And y'know, I think we all should be. All the Inmates together... *blinks* Well, the world doesn't need to be in one piece right? ;-)

*giggles* Yep. 'Coffee... because I can sleep when I'm dead.' And it's so very true. ^__^

Date: 2005-04-18 07:07 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] scoobydumblonde.livejournal.com
It's a very long list. We'd better get on it. *nods* Hey... either I'm psychic or we're just really scary. :-D *grins*

Very true... mmmmm... neeed coffeee....
