I'm baaaaaacck!!

clo_againAm back, complete with more sleep deprivation - even though we actually got to sleep before 1:30am, which for me is practically mid-afternoon these days - and still far too much to do. However I've accomplished a couple of things today and the 'rents got the black curly light I wanted for my room, so once it's up and I've sorted a couple more empty wine bottles and things for decoration, I'll take some 'Very Nearly Finished' pictures to post. It's almost there. Almost.
I've written over 41,000 words of a fic inspired by T.S. Eliot's The Wasteland... and I've still yet to read the poem the entire way through. Which makes me ashamed and since I need to find a title for the next part anyway, that's what I'm going to go away and do after this. Not to mention I was supposed to read it weeks ago for English anyway... such a bad English student.
I did not watch any of the Pope's funeral and that's all I'm going to say on the matter. I also don't intend to watch any of the Charles-Camilla wedding tomorrow, not on any principle but basically because it could not be possible for me to care less that they're getting married. I'm more than a little irritated that I opened a newspaper today and pretty much the first twelve pages were focused on it. Why?! *sighs helplessly* Everyone despises Charles anyway and if the people of Wales despise the Prince of Wales, then what hope does he really have?
Okay. I even can't believe I just gave them their own paragraph. *rolls eyes* Gggrrr.
In other random news, discovered today that I really do seem to be related to half of North Wales. I've even got two great-great aunties that I've never met bouncing around somewhere - okay not bouncing, they're 90+ years old so bouncing may be exaggerating - not to mention random cousins, nanas, second cousins twice removed and so on, all over the place. Apparently I'm even distantly related by marriage to some smart-ass lecturer in America. *shrugs* Most of them I've never met and probably will never meet but still, it was pretty cool to hear. Should really try and get a family tree drawn up somehow, though I pity the poor person who'd have to draw all that lot up.
*snuggles Mardy for winning* See, you can do it when you try or was Andy letting you win for some reason? I still want pictures of it, if there are any in existance. *sighs*
