The next part of Halcyon is doing well and should be up tomorrow. I need to sit down and work out a plot arc for this monster because right now I'm wandering blindly round Angst City without a map. I don't even know what pairing it's supposed to be and oh dear, omniscient author is not supposed to admit that. Still I have faith in my muses. They'll work out what they're doing. I hope.
I sorted my pin board out today so I could get all my postcards up and found a Post-it with
mercury32's number on it - so if I'd *thought*, I could've rung her last Friday. *sighs* But no, because that would've involved being intelligent and actually being able to find the Post-it under the ten billion other Post-its. Am sorted now, so should be able to cope in future. :) Hah, us? Cope? Naaahh...
You know, Gossip is a very good film. Not to mention James Marsden is pretty. This film would be in my top ten list I think. *contemplates* I hate people asking for your favourite film/book. I can narrow it down to ten or even five favourites, but *a* definite favourite? Not happening.
Hey James Marsden performed one of the songs according to the credits. o_O Since when did he sing? Did I miss something?
Moving on, repeat after me: No matter how long you stare at your f-list, it will not do tricks. No matter how long you stare at your f-list...
I owe several people comments and I apologise for being lax and lazy lately. I blink and days disappear. Will try to catch up over the next few days inbetween Philosophy revising. I'm even starting to lose track of which comments I owe or not and it's getting crazy. I should make a Post-it list, since I can actually read them now my pin board is tidy. Hhhhmm.
No matter how long you stare at your f-list... ^__^
Bed sounds good right now. There will be fic tomorrow. Not promising you'll like it but... that's just how life is. I'll find Fluff Highway again at some point. Interestingly my creative writing pieces have been getting fluffier and fluffier the last few weeks, perhaps because of the overload of angst in the fic world. So at least the fluff bunnies are finding an outlet somewhere.
Right, to bed. Suppose I should do some work tomorrow. :) Considering how lazy I've been the last two weeks...

The problem...
Date: 2005-03-04 04:25 am (UTC)Am looking forward to Halycon. I am, I am. *nods* We wants it, yes we do, precious.
Also, f-lists don't do tricks. *pouts* Not even if I really want it to
Re: The problem...
Date: 2005-03-04 07:09 pm (UTC)Next part definitely up tonight, though it's mainly exposition. *sighs* Am really looking to the muses finding a plot anytime soon. They won't tell me anything beyond tiny clues right now.
If we stare long enough they might? (My friend
Re: The problem...
Date: 2005-03-04 07:44 pm (UTC)And you better pounce on the Fluff Highway ... and flatten away. That's less children to beat away with sticks.
And yay for more Halycon.
Re: The problem...
Date: 2005-03-04 09:19 pm (UTC)Still looking. Will pounce as soon as I find it and take great glee in flattening the children. They shouldn't be trying to eat our Highway.
I'd read it first. Then 'yay' may not be the first word that comes to mind. *ducks*
Re: The problem...
Date: 2005-03-04 09:50 pm (UTC)Will try poking harder, since it seems like fun.
And yo better find the highway soon, before the children eat it all. :)
Re: The problem...
Date: 2005-03-04 10:31 pm (UTC)Yay! *pokes*
Damn children. We should find some way to child-proof the fluff...

Date: 2005-03-05 08:25 pm (UTC)I have to get 45% to pass in English and Creative Writing and 40% to pass in Philosophy. I think. We don't get grades, we get levels from 'First' (70-100%) which is the best, all the way down to a Fail (39% and under). 50% is a 2.2 and would be more than enough for me to pass this year. *sighs* Bloody confusing universities... *confused*
Re: The problem...
Date: 2005-03-05 11:07 pm (UTC)An A would sort of be like a first, I suppose, although they usually got from about 85-100, and then a B is from 70-85 and then and C is somewhere in the 60-70 range and a D is 50-60. 49 and below are all Fs. *nods* The system is deranged, we know it.
Re: The problem...
Date: 2005-03-06 03:21 am (UTC)*sighs* It seems like a cruel system. When I was thinking of coming over there though I was told they mark harder in Canada. Academic systems are crazy. -_-

Date: 2005-03-07 12:22 am (UTC)Yay! Come to Lancaster! ^__^ It involves sleeping all weekend and generally lazing in between writing fic. ;) It's very fun. Genius-level work seems to be optional. ^__^

Date: 2005-03-07 03:05 am (UTC)And about studying here, I think the Cypriots in my flat pay *way* more to study here than we do, though I'm not clear on why or what for. *makes a note to check* Not to mention flights... hey we should just start dating some rich tennis players. They'd pay for it! ^__~
Re: The problem...
Date: 2005-03-07 06:17 am (UTC)The one good thing about my university though is that I can pay my tuition and go to any school they exchange with, I think. I don't have to pay your tuition at all. *nods happily* I'd still have to pay for residence though. *sigh*
Re: The problem...
Date: 2005-03-07 09:28 am (UTC)... That's just mean. Because for me to come across to you, I have to pay all your tuition PLUS half of mine from Lancaster, even though I wouldn't *be* here to need to be taught. -_- *kicks Lancaster for being mean* Residence is the big thing though. I think ours costs around £3000 a year at the moment. (I must admit the internet here is fantastic value though. *pets her £66 a year Broadband* It's enough to make me want to stay here in holidays. ^__^)
How did I let you get dibs on Andy? *contemplates* You do know he's admitted to having the attention span of a goldfish right? ;)
Re: The problem...
Date: 2005-03-07 03:53 pm (UTC)And there was actually a program here this year, well in October, where all I would have to do is pay residence because the university would pay tuition. But, from the sounds of it, your residence is more than my tuition. *sighs*
Re: The problem...
Date: 2005-03-07 09:22 pm (UTC)Our tuition is around half our residence fees, but we are in the shiny new buildings which cost the most. There's plenty of accomodation on campus that costs less though it's not as pretty ;). I can't remember how much my tuition was going to be if I came over there to study... slightly more than over here but not as much as our accomodation here I don't think. Hhhmm.
All complicated. o_O
