I'm not stressed.
Jan. 30th, 2005 11:08 pmI don't do stress. Okay not very often and not unless Andy's done something really stupid or for example I have a 2000+ word essay due in six hours and I'm on 342 words - but in general, I don't stress about work. I do however get this vague sense of doom at times that suggests I'm heading towards a very tall, very steep cliff and unless I actually do something useful, no one will hand me a parachute before I get there. So when I say I have around 350 pages of English to read before Thursday, 10 pages of English to read before 10am tomorrow, probably around 20 or so pages of back-reading for Philosophy, plus 10 or so pages for before Wednesday and an interview to do and write before midnight Wednesday for Creative Writing - it'll make sense when I say I have that sense of doom. So I need to do some reading this week.
Which means various things, Photoshop stuff and fic mainly, won't get done until I've done my reading.
liroa15 I'm working on the Deuce banner and I'm getting there slowly, but it won't be done before the end of the week, sorry. I do have a couple of fics I want to write in the next few weeks, along with hopefully the Mardy/Andy fic, Through Shadow before Easter and then the Bounty sequel during Easter, but for this week at least, I think I need to prioritise work over fun stuff. *sighs* I've spent around 13 weeks at university now... it is about time I actually *did* the work.
So I will be slow in replying to/making comments, posting entries and generally being online for a week or so (I'm planning to actually get to bed before midnight every night if possible) but I'll make it up to everyone in fic over the next couple of months. Loooooots of fic. :) (The plotbunnies'll eat me if I don't.)
And now, having said that, I want to say how happy Marat made me this morning. :D And I have to ask, how does that man get through the day without being sexually harassed by every woman he meets? Because damn. If the 'rents wouldn't have thought I was crazy for licking the TV screen... I even have Roger/Marat bunnies, which are sadly far down my 'to-write' list. Maybe in Easter.
I have to go to bed now. *sighs* Still, I've had a very enjoyable Australian Open. :) I think the four top guys all earned the holiday I think they're all taking for the next couple of weeks. *pets them, especially poor Roger*
*deep breath* Bring on the week of work!
How *fun*... ;)

Date: 2005-01-31 09:55 pm (UTC)I'm supposed to be finishing in three years, hopefully... *crosses fingers* And really, I don't have a *lot* of work, basically eight/nine hours per week plus reading. Come to Britain. :) No one really expects you to work hard in the first year - my marks this year don't count, as long as I pass.
'Pass' being the operative word there I guess... :)
Re: Completely...
Date: 2005-01-31 10:19 pm (UTC)Britain sounds heavenly right now. Am thinking I'm going to get out of sciences and major in classics (which is like ancient history and art and myths) with an english minor. It's possible, but I should probably talk to the councillor people before I decide one way or another.

Math is teh evil. -_- Getting to finally drop it completely three years ago was the best thing I ever did. It's just... ick.
Britain sucks in many things but students don't really have that bad a time. Actually we have quite a lot of fun. :D And *pokes cheerfully* - I got an A-level in Classics! *grins* I adored it. Extremely rude subject... or at least it was over here... but very fun. ^__^ Keeping in mind that I dislike Science and adore both Classics and English, I'd say go for Classics but only if you think it'll be worth it in the long run... it is a big difference. Definitely get a second - and third and fourth - opinion I think would be my advice.
Though if you do change, I will be happy to have long and rambling conversations about Aristophanes and Homer with you any time. :D

Hotmail worked on Dad's computer! Yay! Am very glad I waited to get your wmail before starting fic....will have to change the beginning a little but the basic premise is still the same....*plots*
What am I going to do with no more tennis? *wails* The only other tioournaments we really get shown here for us non-pay-tvers is Wimbledon.....I think *sighs*
And on a random note.......
Marat is such a slut.

Date: 2005-01-31 03:03 pm (UTC)Yay for email working! Glad it was helpful - I know how frustrating it is to need match details and not being able to get them. It was an excellent match to write slash around though, with a tie-break like that. I'm glad someone decided to use it.:D
We can be sad together - I don't think I'll get to see any tennis for the next couple of months either. *sighs*
*DIES* :D That is *weird* - my Roger/Marat plotbunny had Marat being a slut too. Maybe it's some vibe we're picking up on or something... or maybe gorgeous guys being slutty is just hot. ;)*coff*
