clo_againChristmas has been and gone for another year, leaving behind it rampant madness. Thta's an exaggeration, but it's certainly been a weird Christmas this year.
Not ONLY have I aquired yet another slash ship (Rick O'Connell/Ardeth Bay) which I utterly did NOT need, I actually managed to thrash my dad at chess on my Two Towers chess board, then managed to lose utterly pathetically to my brother right after. I also got given a copy of 'Characters from Tolkien' by my parents - who had apparently forgotten that they'd given me an identical copy just four months or so ago. -_- But still, I got some good stuff. My cat was hysterical trying to opn his presents - we wrapped them up with catnip treats so he was trying to chew through the paper. ;)I think he loves Christmas more than we do.
I don't know why, but Christmas Day just went. Flew past. Usually it drags on with relative after erlative descending on us but this year it was like: Get up, get dressed, open presents, visit my nana, come home, play chess, eat lunch, play chess, play on sims, watch tv, scribble some fic, watch tv, go on net. Okay that seems a lot when it's listed but it didn't feel like a lot at the time. I'm not sure if it's a good thing that it went by fast or not - does that mean I enjoyed it more?
But, after watching The Mummy last night and the Mummy Returns tonight, I'm completely gone on O'Connell/Ardeth Bay. There aren't even that many slashy moments in The Mummy, although there are more in The Mummy Returns. In fact there are one or two good ones - not LotR scale of course, but pretty amusing all the same. I just hope this doesn't mean I'll have a whole new fandom to explore. *sighs* Although an Ardeth Bay muse would be absolutely scrummy. Someone who may actually be able to gang up with Legolas on Jareth. Though I'm pretty sure the fighting would drive me insane.
What do I mean 'drive me insane'? I was never sane in the first place! ^-^
Neopets is just too much to deal with at this time of night. I need my brain switched on to figure it out.
Right I'm most definitely going to bed now as I need more sleep and I have major ficcing to do tomorrow if I'm going to have any time to do my college homework. Maybe I'll finish Reverie tomorrow but I may have to do more Inamtes Panto because I want to finish that too. Hhhhmm.. decisions....
