I have fish. I have the final part of liroa15 and shana0809's present to post tomorrow. I have fish. I got 68 on my Philosophy test which is way better than I thought I'd done and is only two marks off first-level. Did I mention I have fish?

*sighs* Then I got the email from the Study Abroad people, telling me I have to confirm I'm going abroad next year by this Friday, along with a list of preferred universities. Which means I have to actually make a final decision one way or the other by tomorrow morning, so I can get the list together and send the email. And I still have no idea which way I'm leaning. Everyone keeps saying if they had the chance to go they'd be there, but they aren't the ones having to decide. And I don't know. It's not so much the distance or having to adapt to a new teaching system or even the amount of work I know I'd have to do, because that's just details. It's knowing that it would eat up all my money and my loan and would I have enough money to enjoy being there, because if I'm constantly broke I know I'll be miserable. But the experience... and I'm just going over the same points again now. I need a decision, one way or another and I have no idea. *sighs again* Hey I just noticed that R is on the email list. Weird. *contemplates* Maybe it isn't her.

But! I have fish! ^___^ Orange and white fantails who have been dubbed Gonzo and Rizzo. I agreed to let Kayleigh choose and 'own' Rizzo on the condition she feeds them when I go home for the weekends. ;) They're swimming happily around, enjoying the current from the filter which I had to turn down to half-power - I turned it on full and they went 'wwwwheeeeeeeeeeeee' across the tank towards it because they're too small to swim against it. ^__^ I love teh pretteh. There may be another one added at some point, already to be named Miss Piggy. It's so nice to have them at last. *bounces*

Fic and pictures are being worked on, in between flatmate distractions. Should get at least something done tonight.

Need to go think now. *sighs*

Go. I have friends who've gone abroad, and friends who are over there now (mostly London or Manchester), who loved doing it, and now I regret not having done so.

While I don't know how much the tuition and other costs would be relatively... as for spending money? Just remember that everything is a hell of a lot cheaper in Canada than the UK. :)

I'm going on the theory that the US currency is crap right now compared to UK currency, and canada is generally cheaper than the US... *shrug* but eh, what do I know... :) (although I do know that when I was in Paris two weeks ago... damn, stuff costs a lot there!)

I'm almost certain things are cheaper, according to parental who seems to know these things. Then again, a lot of places are cheaper than the UK anyway it seems.

(Most expensive thing I found in Paris? A pair of boots that cost the equivalent of £700. It's an insane place. They do good chocolate crepes though. Mmmmm.)

This is true, although our dollar has been stronger as of late. However, without exchange rates, it would be impossible to tell, really. And it may be cheaper for some things here and more expensive for others.

The worst I remember is the liter of orange juice that cost 3.95 euro. That's like $5.25 here! And here you can get a half gallon/2ish liters for $3.95 US...

Dude, I had a ham and cheese crepe. Not the best idea. The combination of salty and sugar made me feel ill... ('course, we did get my dad hooked on nutella... heh. he'd apparently never heard of it until we went over there, despite the fact that we had a jar sitting around for a few months last year..)
