Talking to [livejournal.com profile] mercury32 on the phone? Will never get old. ^_________^Damn girl you have the coolest accent. And Australia is such a crazy country. You would not believe how boring the UK is in comparison. :-) Though I now have plot bunnies. *sigh* MORE plotbunnies. Though some of them came from hugely funny topics - most importantly 'What would Andy Roddick say if you wandered up to him, said "Hey you know people are writing about you and Federer having sex?" and then wandered off again.

So. F**king. Priceless. I would give *anything* to see that.

And OMG, [livejournal.com profile] icequeen3101 sent me the most *incredible* cinnamon stuff from Germany - I seriously wasn't expecting to get anything today and then I went to check my post anyway and I was *so* surprised. And it's INCREDIBLE - cinnamon tic tacs which I had no idea even existed and other little cinnamon-y things which I can't stop sniffing and I have no idea how I can ever thank her. It was such a beautiful early Christmas present and seriously it made me very happy. ^_____^ *huge hugs to her*

My Christmas cards are half written. I need to write Christmas letters tomorrow. I've finally worked out what I'm getting most people, which is good - now I just need to get around to getting it.

Oh and catching up on all my emails. o_O That is not going to be a fun thing to do. Saturday, when the Ball is over and done with I think. I'm so glad I don't have many lectures next week. *flops*

I can't work out if it'd be better to get enough sleep to be able to do everything tomorrow, or do it all now and sleep in. Hhmm. I don't think I'm awake enough now. It's that pleasant, fuzzy sort of tiredness when you know you could make yourself do things if you really wanted to, but it's probably not worth the effort. Hhmmm.

Went to see a production of Wyrd Sisters earlier. I was hugely impressed (though they cut Death out of most of it which made me sad) with the acting, especially of the guy playing Felmet and the girl playing Granny Weatherwax. Magrat was pretty damn good too as was the Fool. For a university drama group, they pretty much kicked ass. ^___^ Was very glad I'd read the book though, since I could follow the story much better. Though I wish they'd do Witches Abroad or Maskerade next - Greebo as human is worth paying *very* good money to see. ^__^

My general happiness this term has made me wonder - I do know people who aren't enjoying unversity half as much as I am and I don't think it's just the fact I have a nice room, good courses or lots of fun stuff to do because a lot of them have those things as well. I think mainly it's because my home - my world - is right here online and I never really leave people because most of them I've never met before anyway. We may not all be living together, fighting over who gets to be first in the bathroom in the morning or who gets the last chocolate brownie out the box, but no matter where I am or what I'm doing, my online family comes with me, as does the world of fic and muses in my head which sometimes is a better world than this one. It makes me happy knowing you're all there, even if I don't see you face to face. Does that make sense?

Basically you guys keep me sane. You rock people! ^__^

I'm off to maybe get a drink and some sleep now, so I can stay awake during the Ball tomorrow and fic over the weekend. Merc gave me far too many plot bunnies. *sighs again* But then again I know what I'm writing for her Christmas fic now. ^__~

I'm in a very Christmassy mood right now. :-)

those either? Although I'm not sure we do, but I'm 95% sure. You really are on the wrong continent.

I'm about 95% sure we don't have them, although I'll have another look next time I go shopping. Our continent is terrible. We have no fun stuff at all. *mourns*

... true. You can't take five steps without falling over various ancient monoliths and Ladies in Lakes offering you magical swords. But cinnamon tic tacs!!! So much better than history. History doesn't have the sugary goodness. ^_^

*giggles hysterically* That was GREAT. Last night a Mastercard ad came on TV and I was in HYSTERICS. Australia's not crazy, we're just.... unconventional.

My accent? Nah, nothing special. but OMG, I LOVE yours!

*giggles too* That conversation has ruined Mastercard ads for me - I'll never be able to watch them with a straight face ever again. Sort of Fellowship of the Ring come to think of it... ;-)

Unconventional? Yes. Crazy? Yes. Is that a bad thing? Hell no! ^__^

I have an accent? o_O All I've heard since I got to uni was "Hey why don't you have an accent?" :-) Yours is amazing.
