... Because the vote from English Lady was 'yay' for Canada and the vote from Scary Lady Who Knows All About Abroad was 'yay' also. And yet a glance through the Website of Lancaster proves it had lied to me again and I have to pay tuition fees to Lancaster AS WELL as to my uni abroad. Which is amazingly ridiculous - I won't be here to need tuition, so why should I be paying for it, WTF? So the angst within the world of Clo was followed by Much Sulking and Complaining of Teh Unfairness.
But aside from the sulking at my selfish university money-snatching, the verdict on Canada - and more specifically Alberta - is 'yay - if you're willing to put the work in'. Which is a little reassuring and a little ominous at the same time. I don't have to hand my list of preferred universities in until January but I do have to ask my English and Creative Writing tutors to email references to English Lady. Which made it almost spookily official when I asked my English tutor about it this morning. o_O
Right now I'm fifty-fifty. Half the time it's like "Yes, I'm going. No question." And then the rest of the time I think about it and it's "No. Definitely not." And it's bizarre how I can be convinced of two entirely opposite things, sometimes within the space of a few minutes. But if I won the lottery next week? I know I'd be going. Which tells me that it's the money my subconcious is obsessing about more than anything. Hhhmm.
liroa15 do you know what the accomodation on/off campus like at Alberta? Because the Lancaster website had told me I'd probably have to find my own accomodation yet the U of A website seems much more optomistic. I'm oh so confused.
So I'm going to go and work on Philosophy, for the first time. It's going to confuse me anyway so I may as well save time and just stay confused all tonight. Understanding stuff takes way too much effort right now.
On a final note of good news, I have an extra £15 for the next week and a half, when I thought I had around £30 less. Which makes me very happy since I'll probably finish this term almost on budget. ^__^ Though I haven't sent Christmas presents and cards yet, so I shouldn't speak too soon.
Work! *drags self away from computer*
