I had post. It contained a beautiful tennis calendar. I shrieked and bounced and stared in awe. [livejournal.com profile] liroa15 it's gorgeous. It's professional. I love it. It's made me want to start working on the graphics for the next one but the full page ones made me wonder - do you need any of the pics to be bigger, so they don't go blurry as they resize? I'm assuming at least the front cover should be bigger right? If I resize them proportionally they should still work, I think... But you know far more about the calendar-making than me. ^__^

So. Pretty. *loves it* And I like Tommy Haas too, though for some reason all I can remember about him is that he wears neon-coloured hair bands. Which makes me laugh and like him more. ^__~ My pin-board now has a display of postcards and tennis calendar and many pretty things. *happy sigh*

Despite getting only four and a half hours sleep - thank you rain delays in Houston - I actually dragged myself out of bed for my 10am seminar. Came back at 11am, slept for half an hour. Went to 12pm lecture, came back at 1pm, slept for a hour and a half. I've never napped so much during the day before. ^__^ I may need another one if I'm to get my Creative Writing piece done tonight.

I have never been as happy as I was last night when Roger won. It made up for not getting my Roddick vs Federer match to end the year on. ^___^ I wonder if 2005 will be a miserable year for Roger - how can he even hope to top this year's performance? I suppose he could get a Grand Slam... But I want to cheer for Andy to win the US Open next year and I can't have both. Hhhmm. I knew supporting the #1 and #2 players would make things complicated. ^__^

I need some more happy icons. Hhhm.

Since I'm on a room-tidying craze tonight, I suppose I should take all my dirty plates to the kitchen and wash up. Can cold tea grow mold after only twelve or so hours? o_O Ick.

Back later if the 'mold' doesn't eat me! ;-)

Mold is a place. Mould is what you mean, and I'm not the one studying English, I'm doing an engineering course.

Go back to your cars cheeky. ;-)

put 'u's where you don't need them. We say mold, which is the fuzzy stuff that grows on pretty much anything. Our textbooks say mold. Believe, I just finished studying it.

As far as I'm concerened, you're right. Of course, I live on the "wrong continent", although I am Canadian and still put 'u's in such words as colour and neighbour.

Whereas I on the other hand keep getting yelled at by my spellchecker - which gets stuck on US English - for typing 'colour'. *sigh* One English language? Pfft. There's about twenty million different ones. You're always going to be right in at least one of them. ;-)

may have to be bigger because I'm going to print it out with a different program. The one that I'm using only does calendars. As for resizing, I don't think any of the calendar pics will need to be resized. It really only likes the one size, though I will test it tonight and report it anything differs.

As for being professional, hmmmm. That's all due to the fact I took it out to a copy centre and their paper is very nice in colour photocopiers and I had it professionally bound. In other words, all the professional bits were professionally done. I know when I'm out of my league. :)

And as for the mold, mold is, in all technicality, a quick growing, asexually reproducing fungus. It is entirely possible for it to grow a significant amount in 12 hours if the conditions are right. Cold tea is probably ideal because it's not too hot and there's a lot of nutrients present, if you put sugar in it. Besides that, it's exposed to the air, which makes it even easier for the spores to land and germinate. And since I'm paying $500 to learn all that you'll just have to deal with the consequences of my knowledge. :)

*nods* Cool, can make the cover big. Working on February's as I type. ^__^ I just need to find the right pic of Roger to go next to Andy. I hate watermarks. Gggr. Oh I meant to ask do you want both Roger and Andy on all of them, or some with just Mardy and Andy, or all three of them, or maybe a month each with just one of them etc? Because I don't mind making whatever. :-)

Gorgeously professional. *pets it* Didn't that cost you a lot though? o_O It's worth it for the prettiness but I don't want to bankrupt you sending me all these gorgeous things.

*winces* I think I'll re-wash that mug before I use it again. I don't have sugar in tea though, so that might've helped. Eeewww, mold. *is thankful that she's cleaned her room and it's all shiny now*

It was moderately expensive, not so much the binding, but the colour photocopying isn't cheap. Still, I have one on my wall too, and I like to take it down and pet it every once in a while because the paper is so nice.

Some of them alone would be nice, and all three of them. Just whatever. What colour scheme is summer getting though? Because here summer is yellow becuase of all the wheat and canola and the like, but I have no clue what it looks like for the rest fo the world.

And yes, you shoudl probably re-wash the mug, just to be safe. :)

*has hers next to her... also pets it every so often* The paper is beautiful.

Summer over here is a mix of green (we still get plenty of rain ^__^) and yellow, so I was planning to go green up till May, then get yellower over June, July, August then get red/oranger over September, October (are you using the red one for October?), going to more of a blue/grey/white colours for November, December. February is quite dark, purple-y-grey since February for me is always a 'dark' month inbetween Winter and Spring, with lots of rain and grey skies. ^__^ March... haven't decided on March's colours yet - maybe pale blue-y-green because that's when Spring starts here, but if yours starts later I can keep it more Wintery? If you're using the green one I've done already for April did you want the .bmp copy of it? Can't remember how good the quality of it was.

Definitely will do some alone and all three then. They're so pretty. ^__^

*go to rewash the mug* o_O

I used the red one for September because that's when the leaves start falling off the trees here. September is beautiful month. October we usually get snow.

I have the .bmps for both the red and snow ones, but the green one looks just plain fabulous, even using the .jpg. Am using it for April right now, which is when spring starts here. Winter is very long O_o. It has been nice this year, but once we hit Decemeber we're supposed to end up with -15C highs and the like. Also known as the weather that makes us hate winter. :)

And I'm sure whatever you do will be fabulous. I like the idea of a purpley month, as I love purple. :)

*nods* We're lucky to get red leaves in September, although it's definitely around then all the shops suddenly start selling 'autumn' themed stuff. :-) Wish we had snow in October. *sighs* We were all amazed to get it in November over here a week or so ago. We haven't really noticed it's winter yet; I walked back from the bar - a five or so minute walk - in the dark earlier in a thin sleeveless top and jeans without hardly getting cold. ^__^

April, we get rain. A *lot* of rain. ^__^ Hence the term, 'April showers'.

Purple? Is so the best colour. ;-)

We get rain in April too, but not a lot. More rainy snow, also known as sleet in March than anything else. And some hail, of course.

As for the leaves, well, I'm a little more north than you are. I think we're on the 52nd parallel up here. And we're in the middle of a freaking big land mass as well. You're not.

And purple is so the best colour. Although sister likes pink and black. Pink has been a recent thing.

... We had a *lot* of rain in April this year. We've been joking about it because everything seems to have been happening exactly on time, like the daffodails in March, rain in April, the summer kind of fading gradually away into September until the leaves turned at the end of October... it's been a clockwork year here really. And we rarely get hail. It's something of a 'freak weather occurence' for us. ^__^

... I'll take your word for it since you're the Science student and I'm not. ;-) I just accept these things... unless I need to know how they work to write about them that is. Then frantic research ensues.

Purple is better than anything. I'm ambivalent about pink; I used to dislike it but now I'm willing to tolerate it and even own a few pink clothes. Black, now black covers half my wardrobe. ^__^ Black is almost as good as purple.

Black is a good colour.

As for the effect of land on weather, that's Gr.10 stuff here. Which is how I know. :)

Parents don't understand, there is logic to our mess. We don't need to tidy, we know exactly where everything is. ^__^

It's when it all starts to go white and fuzzy that we should start getting worried... ;-)
