Aug. 11th, 2008 09:01 amRoger was kind enough to start his match just as I got up (for the second time; I was up at 6am to check where they were at but Nadal had only just finished, so I assumed the women would take about an hour and went back to bed... and missed the first game of Roger's. Note to self: stop overestimating women's tennis) and win it just in time for me to get dressed and catch the bus at a run. I'm a little relieved and a lot proud of him and happy that I can stop freaking for the rest of today.
Also, when I saw Nadal had taken three sets? I just assumed he'd won them all and went "Oh, I thought these were best of three set matches; apparently it's five." It wasn't until the second set of Roger's that the commentators made me go "Oh? Really? Nadal lost a set?!"
I just assumed. Ass-u-me...
Oh well. I should probably stay off the 'net as much as possible today after all the time I spent on it last week. Sigh. Though I suspect I'll be checking up on Murray; the ITF site has live text commentary on the tennis which I think is my new favourite toy for this week.
Right. Work. I can't even complain; I'm just happy Roger won. :)
