I have fifteen minutes to waste before I can leave work, so have a fic rec.

Surface by seperis, PG Ten/Rose with spoilers through Journey's End. Short but poetic and beautiful and fixes a lot of the things I found wrong with Rose's ending was handled or rather, makes them okay.

I know I would happily rec everything seperis has written ever, but this really is beautiful and it's 'Who fic by her which makes me inordinately happy. Go, marvel at the pretty.

I buy a lot of papers over Wimbledon. It's the one time of the year that the British press actually dedicate equal space to tennis and football (and there's a lot of football), so I like to make the most of it. So there's a stack of at least twelve on my floor that I haven't gone through yet and another few downstairs. When I got home from work today, a fortnight-old copy of The Guardian was dumped in my lap and an irate parental demanded that I actually take what I want out of some of these damn papers so she can throw them away.

Hee. I knew he reminded me of someone.

I'll also post the beautiful 'vintage' picture of Roger I got from The Times yesterday. Actually two copies of it, because I wanted one to cut the picture out and one to keep the article that was on the other side of the page. He's in the cardigan but he does look very pretty.
