May. 25th, 2008 07:51 pmFirstly, happy belated birthday to
scoobydumblonde! Sorry I didn't say it yesterday; we got home late from Hay-on-Wye. Hope my package got there in time because I didn't post it until last Monday. I didn't forget! Hope you had a good day. :)
Secondly some squee with - I don't know if this is even a spoiler because surely tribesmen who speak only in grunts and live in remote mountain caves know this now but I'm sure someone will shout at me if I don't cut it - ( spoilers for the latest Doctor Who trailer )
I originally wanted to squee over Jessie still being in I'd Do Anything because I knew she'd be out if she was in the sing-off and I was so inanely happy when she wasn't but Doctor Who awesome distracted me. Still, yay! I'm sad Rachel went out though because I really think she would've made a better Nancy than Samantha. I think they might have problems if Samantha gets it, I really do. Just- little things. Like she smiles when they're singing the losers out at the end, always always smiles while everyone else cries. And she gets left out of hugs sometimes and she's smug and she shouts the songs sometimes, only they never say that to her. And I think I'm a little disillusioned about Barrowman by this point, because he does fawn over Samantha regardless of how good she's been that week, whereas Jessie has been consistently put down rather than supported. I'm glad votes backed me up with Samantha this week, finally, because I was starting to wonder if it was just me.
I've stolen the father's laptop for this (the only computer in the house that reliably connects to our pathetic internet right now; I am not amused) and he's making angry noises, so all I will say about Hay-on-Wye is that I bought twelve books in less than two days, we went to a fantastic circus and I loved it, even when the woman was driving me nuts. Have to go back again, if not next year then the year after. Preferably without a parent in tow and lots of money.
...I think that covers most things. Except, I really need a new laptop. One that doesn't hate our crappy internet. -_-
