Got to bed at around 3:34am, just after my last entry here.

Around 4:25am, the fire alarm goes off. Roll out of bed in confusion, wondering what the hell the noise is and why my instincts are making me grab my dressing gown - I think that's 'robe' to everyone not British - and head for the door. Takes me a good three or four minutes to actually *recognise* the fire alarm, despite having heard it frequently over the last few weeks.

Stagger out into corridor. Meet equally confused, 95% asleep flatmates. Go outside. Freeze. Decide to go to laundrette to stay warm. Stay in laudrette for aound half an hour - I realize I can't see anything because I've forgotten my glasses and not because my eyes are still blurry with sleep. Go out in freezing cold to check if Laura's flat is awake - can't tell and don't want to knock to wake them. Return to our block and finally get let back in around 5:15am. Eat cold Chinese takeaway and drink tea for a while. Get back to bed at about 5:45am.

Horrible, horrible way to start the day. Hilariously funny in retrospect, but still a horrible horrible way to be woken up. I was also well on the way to my best night's sleep of the week too. We think someone's extractor fan in the kitchen as far away from us as possible was left on, started to smoke and because our blocks are connected *everyone's* alarm went off. The only good thing I can see about it was that it wasn't raining. Oh and we discovered that there are people who do their washing at 4:30am. Crazy.

However I made it to my lecture - which since I haven't done this week's reading yet I found hopelessly confusing - and tonight ended up walking up to main campus with a girl from the flat next door in hopes of finding one of the bars showing Roddick's match against Safin. They weren't when we got there but the barman said to change the channel and we did, so we watched the last two thirds of Roddick's match. *bliss* Rachel found it amusing when I got stressed over the tie breaks but said she's the same with golf, so she understands. And she wants to come to Wimbledon next summer with me. Am a happy bunny. *glee*

OMG Federer just got broken by Moya. C'mon Feds! I know Andy played an insanely close match; doesn't mean you have to as well.

[livejournal.com profile] liroa15 If I wait up a little longer will there be tennis slash posted? Or should I go to bed and anticipate it sometime over the weekend? Bounty is almost done; one brief meeting scene left and the final few hundred words. Tomorrow night or Saturday hopefully.

Roger is so losing this second set. o_O I'm still wishing for my Roddick-Federer final to conclude the year. Best. Christmas present. EVA!!

It's snowing in Wales but not here. This is incredibly depressing and vaguely ironic; I'm always complaining that it snows everywhere but Wales - and I leave, and it snows. I cannot even find the words to express my disgust. There isn't enough profanity in the world to express it. Bastards.

"Federer looks shell-shocked, but Moya must be careful of over-confidence." - Eurosport live comments.

Bless his ikkle Swiss cotton socks. He's probably forgotten what losing feels like.

Better be off and either sleep or do something useful. Meant to be going swimming early tomorrow. Hah.

Clo

EDIT: Okay, gotta go to bed or I'll never wake up. Night!
