I fell asleep about 1:30am last night with my head on Across the Nightingale Floor and not even *in* bed. I was meant to keep ficcing and answering comments but then I woke up at half six and was barely coherent enough to climb *into* bed. Sleeping on books at funny angles = ow.

And then I got up at half nine. To do washing. Because as Pterry has said, there is nothing really stupid that humans will not do. Actually it's 'cause the laundrette is mostly empty this time on a Saturday but still. Half nine. On a *Saturday*. And I *love* sleeping in.

'rents said no on the rats. Though their exact words were "You're not coming home for Christmas with a rat." Am in mourning. Next time I go to town, I'm going to buy myself a big fluffy teddy to console myself. :(

So much stuff to do. Ngh. Sleepy.

Oh I love having the sound of LOUD DRILLING outside my window in the morning.

On a Saturday. What sadistic moron would drill concrete on a *Saturday* morning, in a *university*, with students who've mostly all been out the night before?

I don't mean to sound rude or bitchy or snobbish, but I assumed all second year Creative Writing students would have a good grasp of grammar. At least *some* sense of how not to utterly screw up the flow of a paragraph by putting in a line that should be two sentences down. A basic sense of how to *write* in the style of a story.

I was so very wrong. Where is the sense of story, for the love of all that's unholy! Style!! Find one!!

...I really need a nap but I'm afraid that knowing I have to write not-too-rude comments all over these peoples' stories and hand them back to said people may give me nightmares. -_-

In breaking news of Man vs Squirrel, relayed by phone from Wales, Nemesis has officially won. The woman's going to buy a special squirrel-feeder tomorrow. Yay!

Also, I am ficcing but I have a depressed flatmate to cheer up and freshers to socialise with, so I think we might be going to play board games for a few hours. However I'm going to do my damndest to finish Prize later on, because otherwise I won't have time till like, next Wednesday or something crazy.

Second year? Is just mind-bogglingly crazy. -_-
