Preparations for Wimbledon are semi-underway. Have food. Have plasters (Americans read 'band aids'). Have water. Have clean underwear (I firmly believe you can face anything if you have a clean pair of socks.)

What I do not have is a packed and cleaned room. It's currently in a state of carnage. Mild panic is beginning to set in, because I have to have *everything* packed and cleaned by sometime tonight, the earlier the better so I can get more sleep.

This time tomorrow I suspect we'll be heading towards, if not sitting in the Wimbledon queue. Am going to attmept to phone post, though how many times depends on how much the call costs me. Watch for us on Saturday on Henman Hill! We're gonna try and sit at the top by the water, so we'll be right on camera.

Unfortunately my continued existence depends on me having a clean & tidy room for when the 'rents take everything home Sunday. So I'm off to do that.

Poor Timmy. I don't want to see the newspapers tomorrow.

I predict - though the commentators disagree - that this'll be his last Wimbledon, which makes me very sad. We may bitch about him at great length, but it's not Wimbledon without Tim Henman.

And I have to say, if he'd got to the final against Andy or Roger... I'd have been cheering for him.

Begging a favour...

Can anyone on my f-list in Britain - or indeed anyone passing through from here who has my mobile number - check out the order of play on http://www.wimbledon.org/en_GB/ on Saturday morning and text me to tell me what times Andy Roddick and Andrew Murray are playing and on which court? *begs* Please? Will be eternally grateful, especially after we've just sat on a pavement all night.

Packing is going dismally. However we do have t-shirts. YAY!!!
