clo_again: (out of my mind)
9,829 words and I think - think it's done. All it took was a solid weekend of ficcing, severe sleep deprivation getting attacked by killer bugs, missing meals, not doing *any* uni work even though I have to post my CW tomorrow or it won't get there before the deadline...

... y'know, I feel quite accomplished. ;-)

Okay, I need a snack and coffee to face the posting since it's going to be a nightmare to put all the tags in, but we're finally almost there. Give me oh, say half an hour.

And then I think I'll collapse in exhaustion and everything else can wait until I'm not almost-passing-out from sleep deprivation. Ngh. This has been a crazy weekend.

clo_again: (My precious)
I just checked my CW deadline and it's Friday it has to be in for, not Thursday, so I don't have to rush to get it done and posted today. *contented sigh* It's raining and I really couldn't be bothered to rush around trying to do everything. Awesome.

However, not having to do that means I should be sitting here catching up on comments, which I will do soon as I'm dressed. ^__^ I think this weekend has given me a glimpse of what it'll be like to be an actual author - the house slowly getting messier and messier, getting backache from sitting on the sofa too long, skipping meals and ignoring the world until I've actually finished the damn chapter or book or whatever. *grins* It's going to be... interesting. My 'rents would've freaked if they'd seen the kitchen last night. *giggles* Being a student seems to have taught me to live contentedly in a messy kitchen.

All the loose bugs outside seem to have vanished (though I'm still wary of venturing outside) except for the one I trapped under the jug which I thought was dying. Apparently not, since it's now crawling around, looking for ways out and generally making me squeak everytime it so much as wriggles a leg. I think it's some sort of beetle, only an inch and a half long with really odd colouring. Its wing cases are a sort of reddich brown and its head looks greenish, with coppery coloured legs. I'm trying to look it up - and maybe find out why there were at least five of them out there last night when I've never seen them before - but not having much luck so far. I may flick through the bug section in Waterstones tomorrow if I have no luck Googling. Not to mention all these pictures of beetles are making me twitchy again. Though I'm dying of giggles every time Paul McCartney pops up instead. ^__^

Aside from my new beetle obsession, the following 'conversation' ran through my head this morning and I thought I'd share:

Why Tennis Players = Pokemon )

And that is why you should never leave me alone with me. Scary things happen. ;-)

Okay, must go be organised and productive and all those other scary things. ^__^

Having just realised my 'rents wer stupid enough to leave the digital camera behind - what's the point of having a camera if you don't take it on holiday? *rolls eyes* - I finally got a picture of the infamous beetle, who I'm thinking of calling Lennon.

Beetle! Who looks rather smaller than I thought. *sighs* )

If anyone can tell me what it is, I will be most grateful.

Watching Smallville for the first time in months and it's so cool. Lex squared! Mwahaha!

Oh, and am going to answer comments. Once I stop giggling at the coolness of evil!Lex. *bounces*
