Hah for awesomeness!
May. 16th, 2005 02:19 pmI just checked my CW deadline and it's Friday it has to be in for, not Thursday, so I don't have to rush to get it done and posted today. *contented sigh* It's raining and I really couldn't be bothered to rush around trying to do everything. Awesome.
However, not having to do that means I should be sitting here catching up on comments, which I will do soon as I'm dressed. ^__^ I think this weekend has given me a glimpse of what it'll be like to be an actual author - the house slowly getting messier and messier, getting backache from sitting on the sofa too long, skipping meals and ignoring the world until I've actually finished the damn chapter or book or whatever. *grins* It's going to be... interesting. My 'rents would've freaked if they'd seen the kitchen last night. *giggles* Being a student seems to have taught me to live contentedly in a messy kitchen.
All the loose bugs outside seem to have vanished (though I'm still wary of venturing outside) except for the one I trapped under the jug which I thought was dying. Apparently not, since it's now crawling around, looking for ways out and generally making me squeak everytime it so much as wriggles a leg. I think it's some sort of beetle, only an inch and a half long with really odd colouring. Its wing cases are a sort of reddich brown and its head looks greenish, with coppery coloured legs. I'm trying to look it up - and maybe find out why there were at least five of them out there last night when I've never seen them before - but not having much luck so far. I may flick through the bug section in Waterstones tomorrow if I have no luck Googling. Not to mention all these pictures of beetles are making me twitchy again. Though I'm dying of giggles every time Paul McCartney pops up instead. ^__^
Aside from my new beetle obsession, the following 'conversation' ran through my head this morning and I thought I'd share:
Clo's Common Sense Oh look, World Team Tennis! And it's Coria! *frowns* Why are they playing on clay?
Clo's Crazy Inmate Side: Because Coria's a claycourter and he got to pick the court surface to give himself an unfair advantage?
Clo's Common Sense: Shut up. It's probably because it's clay court season.
Clo's Crazy Inmate Side: Or MAYBE!! They switch surfaces for each match all week y'know, flip a coin for them or something.
Clo's Common Sense: Maybe...
Clo's Crazy Inmate Side: Like a Pokemon tournament!
Clo's Common Sense: Yes like a- NO!!!
Clo's Crazy Inmate Side: Yes!! Because you have clay courters like rock pokemon and grass players like... like... those pokemon who like plants it's been a long time since my pokemon obsession. And they switch court surfaces at random so no one has an advantage!
Clo's Common Sense: ...
Clo's Crazy Inmate Side: I wonder what pokemon Coria would be?
Clo's Common Sense: *curls up and dies*
And that is why you should never leave me alone with me. Scary things happen. ;-)
Okay, must go be organised and productive and all those other scary things. ^__^
