I swear, I rolled out of bed this morning, hit the ground running and haven't stopped since. Okay until I fell asleep in front of Safin's match a couple of hours ago but the rest of the day has just been... well, like "Oh shiny!" *blur* "Oh another shiny!" *blur* "What happened to that last shiny?!" *blinks*
Went into college to collect our exam certificates and dropped in on my old English teacher who I still adore for his sarky goodness. He remembered me too. *blinks* In fact he seemed very happy to hear that I was good and doing okay in Lancaster. It was nice, especially since he's the guy who restored my faith in English. *pets* He's getting married in a month or so. *sighs*
Poor woman. ;-) I hope she'll be able to snark right back at him, because that's absolutely what he needs. So that was one of the crowning moments of the day... that and falling in love with or maybe just into adoration of, the guy at the local post office. I ran all the way up there to get there before it closed at 5 only to find out I didn't have quite enough money for postage. Could've burst into tears until he said "Look it doesn't matter, just drop it in next time you're passing." I swear I am not making this up. I could have hugged him and probably would've done if the screen hadn't been in the way. In the end I turned out to only be 15p short rather than the £1.50 I initially thought but still, I now owe the post office 15p. People like that restore my faith in humanity. I must go in tomorrow to give him his 15p and thank him again. And no, I'd never seen this guy before in my life, so it's not as if he knew I was even local. It made the entire day of running more than worthwhile. *hugs the random post office guy*
Um... met random
rainy_roz's boyfriend. Don't think I scared him too much. Realised that I live in the weirdest fucking country in the world when I got on the bus in town with warm sunshine and got off four miles or so down the road... in hail and sleet and
snow. I think I swore under my breath the entire way home, since I'd insistantly refused the offers of an umbrella to take home, thinking it was to sunny. -_- And it's been sunny again for the rest of the afternoon, ever since I stepped, utterly soaked, through my front door. So just... *sighs*
I should stop rooting for Roger to lose sets just so I can have a longer match to watch, I really should. I think I jinxed you today Rog. Sorry. *pets*
Safin... I'm not speaking to you. No matter how much I loved your rampant racquet breakage.
Five people have managed to get their Creative Writing in on time, or in my case four hours late. Out of thirteen people. If people hadn't proved to me today that they can be lovely, then I would be beating my head against the wall. As it is, it means less work for me to crit. *sighs* I was really looking forward to some of the ones that didn't get theirs in too. Oh well.
I need to go answer some comments now and then I may actually play on the Sims (since I still haven't.)
Clo
P.S. I have developed a love for Snow Patrol. They're really damn good. *pets them*
