I hate these goddam insects!

Have just been chased from room by an invasion of wasps. Three when I left and another outside the window. I squished one because it was between me and the laptop then beat a hasty retreat with said laptop and left dad to cope with them.

And I have to go to work today. If the wasps are this bad here, I'm mortally afraid of what they'll be like in work with sweets and ice-cream and sugar everywhere.

Dad's just come down and announced there were *four* in there.

Don't wanna go in to work today *cries*

Wanting and actually doing however, are two very different things.

For no sensible reason that I can vocalise, I bought a 'Beginner's Italian' set, with a book and cd, from Waterstones today. Having decided I'm going to learn Italian this year, I'm a little surprised to find myself actually going out and doing something about it. I may subject you all to random bits and pieces of Italian over the coming months. You have been warned.

Am off to defend the poor cat. He's been kicked outside just because we're being visited by a allergic-to-cats relative and he's staring at me mournfully through the window.

And to conclude, people can surprise you. Even yourself can surprise you. Most odd.
