My dad just paid £225 for one golf club. One. ONE golf club! And the woman was getting at me the other day for wanting a £30-£40 pair of riding boots. o__O Un-fecking-believable. He says it's for his birthday but there's all this "hush-hush" stuff the woman's doing as well which is costing a fortune and yet she moans about spending £30 on a pair of boots..... I simply do not understand parents at all.

On an unrelated note, I love all the people in a Robin Hobb forum I've just been skimming through. Most of them seem to agree with me on the wonderfulness of Fitz/Fool. *wraps the Fool in cotton wool and takes him/her/it home* My favourite literary character EVER, including Legolas (who I did love before Orlando Bloom was even a blip on the horizon by the way) Rereading 'Golden Fool' and it's so good I'm wondering why I didn't reread it sooner.

This song is great. It fits so many pairings. Too long to do for my media video though. *sighs*

I haven't worked hard enough on ficcing today, though I want to later. Think I'll have coffee and read for a while then carry on with Myth. Which totally needs editing. Grrrr.

A SILVER Dragon Lies Beneath!

I took the Inner Dragon Online Quiz and found out I am a Silver Dragon on the inside. My Inner Dragon is to dragons what the Ranger is to humans. Like all metallic dragons, Silvers rigidly adhere to an internal code of conduct. Each Silver, however, must develop their code individually, a fact which explains their unique dispositions and actions. Silvers are often considered shadows dwelling on the periphery of dragon culture (much like human Rangers), but they can always be counted upon to speak the truth and help their allies. Because no one but a Silver knows what they'll do next, their alignment is "Chaotic Neutral."



Being a Silver isn't all shady head-games, though. I possess considerable intelligence and self-confidence (whether they manifest themselves or not :P ). Magic isn't really my bag, but I'm awfully good at slipping in and out undetected. Which, by the way, is probably due to my slightly-below-average size. My favorable attributes are dependability, durability, problem-solving, mist, and pewter. Like my human counterpart - the Ranger - I'm a superb weapons user and have an especially good command of my icy breath weapon. I know I might be tough to understand at times, but that's just my way.



Sounds cool. And I didn't cheat and I answered honestly too. ^__^ No picture though. :-( I love quizzes with pretty pictures. Maybe I should draw a silver dragon.... ooooo, sounds fun. Though I'm still in the middle of my Doodle-fest pic right now. I'm torn between ficcing and working on it. Grrr.

But I'm ficcing like a good little girl.

One word of advice: Never EVER try on knee length riding boots just to see what they look like when you're not wearing socks. It involves pain, suffering and angerto get them off again. 'Nuff said.

Going to Chester on Thursday with everyone. Yey! I can wear my new suede boots. Yey! They want me to be there be nine o clock. Noooo!!! Heh.

Edit: The final book in the Tawny Man trilogy (Robin Hobb's latest) is coming out in Dutch about... *counts* two and a half months before it comes out in English. The problem. I DON'T SPEAK DUTCH DAMMIT! *cries* The author's American, howinhell can they publish it in Dutch first? So unfair... *mourns* I want to see what happens to Fool and Fitz....

On a vaguely related note, Robin Hobb slash is harder to find than the proverbial needle in a haystack. If I didn't have Myth and LotV to do I'd take matters into my own hands but for now it'll have to wait. *sigh*
