Yeah I know, I'm supposed to be knee-deep in poetry right now and I am, right down to the Biblical references and rhyme schemes and all the boring bulls**t like that - god English could not *be* more frustratingly pedantic - but am taking a brief break before my braincell overheats. I ended up choosing God's Grandeur and Men call you fayre and you doe credit it... soley for the reason I did them for AS level and had the notes for them already, which'll be a huge help. I liked the Shakespeare and Rossetti ones better but I have a feeling most people will be doing those, so at least I'm attempting something different.

Flatmate is in hospital until Monday. She wants us to look after her sister who's staying in the flat which I am of course happy to do it's just... stupid English essay. Why does it have to be handed in the *middle* of everything else happening? Trust English to have the screwiest deadlines. I have to write an essay over Christmas too, to be handed in the first Monday back. Cue much woe.

The hiking club is mocking me with emails about really cool trips I can't afford. Bastards. There's a navigation trip next weekend that looks interesting but it's an overnight one and I really can't afford the sleeping bag and outdoor kit until after Christmas now. *le sigh*

God I wish it was Tuesday already. Am really looking forward to my CW seminar this week. Plus I'll have done my essay and can relax. Hah. Bring on Tuesday!

This song rocks big time. The whole album is good but I especially love this song. I think I have a weakness for really cool guitar riffs.

*hesitates, looks around sheepishly then climbs out from under desk* Ahem. I think that's my guilty conscience kicking in. Back to the poetry.
