That's interesting...

In our English lecture on Hamlet the other day, our lecturer was a great American guy. He mentioned that English students at Lancaster can spend their second year in America - something I hadn't realised before. I thought abut it for a while, and it sounds interesting. Mentioned it to the parentals the other night on the phone and while Dad expired of shock at the possible cost in the background, the woman seemed quite interested and wanted to know where I could go. Having just looked it up - and it's impossible to guarentee which of these I'd end up in - the choices are Colorado, Illinois, Binghamton and Texas.
So I don't know. It'd cost more than a year at Lancaster which is a major-ish downside, but the experience... I'd hoped Canada would be on the list but apparently not for English students. A year abroad would be annoying to organise, cost a fortune and probably not include any Creative Writing but... it might be worth it.
Something to think about anyway.
EDIT: Oh I went swimming. Am knackered now.
