Colds suck.
Oct. 5th, 2004 12:51 amHowever at least my flatmates are suffering with me, one by one. This makes me feel irrationally better. Am so teh evol. *pets the poor suffering flatmates*
I did my washing. ^____________^ Aren't you proud of me? Admittedly I stood in front of the machine holding the detergent and looking a little lost for a few minutes until I acosted a kind Japenese graduate student and begged for help. She saved me from probably shrinking/mutilating my clothes, so I owe her many thanks and lots of chocolate. Alas I forgot to ask her name. Perhaps I'll bump into her again. *makes note to buy thank you chocolate*
Meal sucked. Seeing Gemma squee over Kas (JCR president; ongoing drama, unrequited love and all that) made the evening a little better. Seeing the blond sports JCR rep in a suit? Made the £15 I paid *so* worthwhile. Still got a taxi back early with Agatha though. Wasn't interesting enough to hang around. Taxi driver was crazy. -_- If he didn't quite use the words "In my day, THAT wasn't allowed!" he did come close several times. And with a taxi full of Cypriates speaking Greek behind me, I just nodded and smiled and pretended to be sympathetic.
Ew. Tea is cold. >_<
I even read the 'recommended' chapter of the Philosophy book while waiting for the washing to... well, wash and I think it helped me understand what the guy was going on about with free will a little better. My Philosophy lecturer is *actually* called Vernon Prat. He made a joke of it but we all felt sorry for him. Bless.
I have a lie-in tomorrow due to superb efficiency with washing tonight. ^__^ Score!
However this is not an excuse to be awake and wandering around online at one am. *shrugs*
Finally; plot bunnies are still eating me alive. x_x It never ends.
