I'd forgotten how hard actually working is. 'Specially when you're not getting paid enough. But no I survived my first day with flying colours almost, only little mistakes like forgetting to put a milk jug on the tray or getting a sudden mental blank when asked to add two 70ps together. I didn't drop anything, I spilled very minimal amounts of coffee and I remembered to put the lid on the mixer when frothing the milkshakes. Was a little put out to only get paid for 6hrs at the end of the day because I didn't realise lunch and breaks were unpaid but I'm dealing with it. *sighs* It's basically an easy job once you get the hang of it; it just kills your feet.I need better shoes. I was knackered when I got home, a combination of shovelling gravel Friday and being on my feet all day yesterday = me being too stiff to actually much. I did work some more on Tears of Heaven adding in a scene but other than that I flopped in front of Raw and dozed.

AH I just realised I mentioned the gravel. Met my mother in town Friday afternoon after media finished and she mentioned she'd ordered a ton of golden gravel to be delivered tomorrow (now yesterday) so she may not be able to give me a lift to work. Shrugged, thought nothing of it. Bought a few things, got a new cordless mouse for my laptop (which rocks) and went for coffee and so on so it was gone five by the time we actually got home. Went to pull the car into the drive and....

... there was a ton of golden gravel sitting on it.

I cracked up and didn't stop laughing for about ten minutes while the mother tried to work out what had happened. Turns out the delivery man hadn't been able to deliver on Saturday morning like he'd promised, had turned up and asked our neighbour what to do since we were out. Our neighbour advised him to leave the gravel and hence, ton of gravel in our way. We then spent a frantic half hour shovelling it to it's rightful place on the front garden so we could get the cars down the drive, and let me tell you gravel is bloody heavy. It just struck me as such a Bridget-Jones sort of thing to happen. *grins* It's still funny now.

Having a barbeque later on with aunt & uncle coming over. -_- Joy. Think I'll beg off due to "revising" and hide upstairs.

Slept for about nine hours and am still tired. *yawns* This working lark could get old real quick.

Love, peace and jelly babies,

Clo
