*points at title* My brother's words. Is it bad that I take it as a compliment?

*SO* enjoyed Smallville tonight. The slash was *there* for all to see. Or at least all annoying obstacles in the way of slash were removed. *nods in satisfaction* 'Twas marvellous.

And I SAW PETER PAN! My thoughts on the matter are as follows:

- First of all my mother forgot the tickets despite me asking her three times on the way if she'd brought them and her assuring me that she had. This resulted in us missing the first few minutes of the film and all the trailers. -_- I was a sulky bunny. However soon settled down to enjoy the film.

- Tinkerbell's entrance was *wonderful*. I absolutely think faeries would act like that. ^__^ And it fits well with what I remember of Tink from the book. I loved it! ^__^

- Wendy reminded me of one of my friends! o_O So bizarre. I liked her, though she wasn't as good as the boy playing Peter.

- Peter - Jeremy Sumpter wasn't it? - I thought he was great. Amazing even. I was waiting for the accent having heard about it beforehand but I honestly didn't think it mattered that much overall. I thought his entrance could have been better but I did miss the first few minutes so I expect I missed something there. Grr. Will have to see it again! ^__^ He *looked* perfect, though how he could dye blond streaks in his hair like that in Neverland eludes me. ;-)

- The timble/kiss stuff was as great as I remember it being. *sappy smile* And they kept in Wendy sewing the shadow back on (the hilarity with the shadow was good too)which I liked.

- I was *so* afraid of how they were going to handle the flying and I must admit at times it looked a little dodgy in the nursery, but once they got out into the sky and the fantasy elements kicked in it was fine.

- I LOVE the fact they took the fantasy elements to the extreme rather than tone them down. Ultimately I think it was absolutely the right decision to make and I loved things like the clouds and mermaids. Fantastic.

- Yes, Hook's handless arm grossed me out. >_< Sure it established the fact he had no hand etc etc, but this is a PG movie! Several little kids I know would have struggled with that. Still it was just the one scene and it left absolutely no doubt about why he wore the hook. :-)

- There was no doubt I loved all the 'shoot the Wendy-bird' and the building of the house part - I haven't read the book for years but from what I remember that was all in the book to an extent. Dude I need to re-read the book. *makes mental note to go out and get another copy tomorrow*

- I was slightly surprised at how heavily they played up the Wendy/Peter angle - I can't remember what it was like in the books. Still I adore the pairing - y'know, that could have been my first OTP from when I was younger and un-introduced to fandom. *sighs* Oh to be tiny and un-warped again.

- The mermaids were suitably creepy. *applauds* I wished we could have seen more of them.

- What the hell was up with Tigerlily?!! When sdhe first appeared I thought she was a boy - was that in the book? *vaguely remembers something about Tigerlily trying to look like a boy - is probably delusional* Though it was *very* dodgy for when she kissed John - if I hadn't known who Tigerlily was when Hook said her name then I'd have been like.... o_O "Boys kissing? In a PG movie?!! WTF?!!!!" *passes out*

- Uh.... a big black castle? WTF?! Alright I know Disney probably did Skull Rock to death and having just a rock like in the book (there was just a rock right? I really need a copy of that f**k**g book) that would have been no fun. But still, was mildly like... "eh?" Then again, what is a kid's fantasy island without a decaying castle? Overall it worked out. *wonders if she missed something and there was a castle in the book*

- Keer-ist, did anyone else think the whole "Wendy was enchanted" by Hook's eyes thing mildly dodgy? I mean sheesh, the possible connotations.... I know there is an excellent reason for it which I'll talk about in a minute but still, was a little surprised they let that pass for a PG. I understand her point-of-view of course but I'm eighteen, it's okay for me! ;-)

- The codfish line! *dies* I knew about four or five lines before it was coming and was dying of laughter for about ten minutes overall. :-D Can't beat calling Hook a codfish.

- Okay, cutting Peter with the hook (I keep capitalising Hook!) was understandable, didn't really bother me, but again, PG?!

- The crocodile was FANTASTIC but when did they explain about the swallowing-the-alarm-clock-tick-tick? Did I miss it? :-( Still I loved it too much to care.

- The Indians bringing the teddy "back to life" with the "spirit of the eagle" and the whole faerie dance sequence was unbelievably cool. *thumbs up*

- The way they explained Peter's attitude to love was great too in my opinion. I honestly cannot remember anything of that part of the book so have no idea what the book said about it, if anything at all. Still I liked it. Which report further when I've read the book and compared.

- I saw the skull-headed vial in the glass-box-thing when Tinkerbell was first shut in it and thought "hey, I wonder if that's the poison vial?" And I was right, hee! *smug* Thought it seemed cruel for Wendy to leave medicine for Peter when he was upset and after the film had established the medicine as a punishment earlier on. ^__^

- Okay, was the 'clapping' to restore faeries just something established by the film 'Hook'? Was the 'I do believe in faeries'? from the book? I honestly can't remember. I loved the whole sequence anyway. Though I personally thought it established that Peter *could* love because he loved Tink. *shrugs* Eh. Me being pedantic.

(have to hurry up now am being kicked off computer -_-)

- The whole final fight sequence was okay, with some things I liked and some I didn't. Tell me; did Hook fly in the book? Because I didn't like it. Possibly Disney has warped my mind but eh. *shrugs* I liked the way Hook used Wendy against Peter, that was great. And of course the 'just a thimble' line. ^___^

- I personally didn't like the way they got rid of Hook. Yes the crocodile shouldn't have eaten him but I didn't like the way they did it. *sighs*

- Right, why I thought Wendy was 'enchanted' by Hook and this is probably something you've all realised before but which I loved: Hook represents the grown-up adult world whereas Peter represents the childlike world. Wendy is torn between the two and can't decide who to choose. I find it interesting that the adult world is evil whereas the childlike one is good. Although Hook dies, ultimately the 'evil' adult world triumphs over the childlike one. *pensive*

- Overall I loved the movie, though missing the beginning threw me off. I loved nearly everything about it, with just a few minor quibbles. But dude: could they not have made it just a TINY bit longer? Stretching it to two hours would have killed no one and made it a better movie in my opinion. Grrr.

Oh, and I was ready to massacre the little kids in the cinema by the end. They were giggling at stupid moments and making the *stupidest* comments ALL THE WAY THROUGH. Damn the nasty little critters.

Well that long-winded list was my thoughts. Will buy a copy of the book tomorrow since mine's disappeared and re-read it then let you know what I think. Still, I really want to see the movie again. :-D It was great!

Right, am being kicked off computer by brother, despite him having had the computer all night. -_- Siblings = evil.

G'night!
