"Remember, remember, the 5th of November..

Happy Bonfire Night! For non-Brits, Bonfire Night is when we celebrate Guy Fawke's failed attempt to blow up the House of Parliment by burning stuffed 'Guy's' on top of huge bonfires and setting off fireworks. Basically it's just an excuse to go out, eat toffee apples, wave sparklers and watch the pretty lights. When I discovered how easy fireworks were to draw on Photoshop I made a new icon specially, since I'm not going to see any fire work shows tonight. *sighs* Although actually all I have to do is go upstairs and watch everyone else's out the window if I want fireworks. *grins* My poor cat's terrified of the all the noise and he's hiding behind the sofa.
Man was I pissed off in Psychology earlier. I got an E for my essay, after I put loads of effort into it. He said it was 'well-written, with good use of english but didn't have enough references to studies in it'. *grits teeth* I went through several textbooks looking for studies that had been done and relating them back to eye-witness testimony. However if he feels like that, then screw Psychology. I've put so much work into it lately and he just throws it back in my face. A girl who'd been to maybe one lesson out of five every week got a B. Which proves that to do well at Psychology, you just don't go to the lessons. Is should have done Art, but it's too late to change now. *sighs* Why did I have to wait until now to realise how much I hate Psych?
On the plus side, all my other lessons rock! We had English first lesson and the teacher was being really nice. He's got a new job in a different part of the college, but said he'd made it a condition of taking the job that he had to keep teaching us.
^-^ *huggles english teacher* Then we got him talking about magic tricks and how they're done for about twenty minutes. Damn I could spend my entire day in english. Then he told us how he was walking through Covenant Park in London when he was drunk and how he got chosen by a street magician as a volunteer. *snickers* Damn that was funny.
Hhhm... Media was good. Not just because it's interesting. It's just........ really good. Got a meeting about Disneyland tomorrow so mustn't forget that. And I need to lend Mark a book. Need to remember to take that too.
Now I really should go and do this Alis test we have to do for PT. -_- We have to say what kind of job we want in the future, what kind of jobs our parents have, when our parents left full-time education. It's supposed to be so they can predict our grades, but frankly to me it seems like strangers prying into our personal lives. What my parents did in school has nothing to do with me. If you want to predict grades, ask my teachers. They're the ones supposed to be teaching me.
Not going to rant tonight, because the fireworks have put me in a good mood. Suffice to say, I'm still not happy with a certain person in college and I've made that clear. What's the best way to make someone you don't like go away? Ignore them utterly (which is my current tactic), ask them up front just not to come enar me (which is difficult as my friend is now friends with him, despite opposition from the rest of us) or just walk off whenever they come near, which is something I'm seriously considering. I've tried to get along with this person, I've failed to get along with this person and made it politely clear that I'd like them not to hang round with me, yet every day they end up nearby. I know why, but until my friend agrees with the rest of us there's nothing we can do about it. But Lucy; it's just...... yuk!! Yuech. Icky. Gah.
Now I'm going. I ranted after all. Damn.
