Uh, okay I'm getting a few bad vibes off my flisters about "mood spoilers" for Torchwood. If I spoiled anyone, I'm sorry. It was completely unintentional (looking back, the most spoilery thing I thought that I posted out of cut is how emotionally heart-rending this week's been but I was actually thinking of the whole storyline and tone of the week rather than specifics so I handwaved it off. Um. Possibly I'll cut that sort of stuff in future? I know I prefer to know before going in if something is going to be "happy bunnies!" or "kick you in the teeth" but I'm getting a lot of NOs off people who disagree.)

Also, from what people've said I've realised that my Twitter was a lot worse spoilerwise, even though I thought I was being good there too. Suspect it's because that was my first knee-jerk reactions, which is what I generally use Twitter for. So um, if this scenario ever arises again I'll try to be good there too but I make no promises for Twitter because there are no spoiler cuts and it does tend to be the "OMGWTFBBQ!" reactions. LJ, I will spoiler cut everything! Even if it's "OMG the Doug Anthony Allstars broke up!"

...If you didn't know that, sorry. It did happen over ten years ago now. ;-) So I probably won't go that far.

But yes; sorry if my OMG WTF was spoilery. Must do better. The Americans are very good with the stuff they get before us and we shouldn't let our side down.

This icon has no (okay, very little) relevance to this post but I can't stop looking at it so you get it anyway. LOOK AT THE PRETTY AND ALL WILL BE FINE. :D

People who complain about "mood" spoilers need to get the fuck over themselves. Because the mood was set in the &*^^%%ing trailers.

Pah. I was DYING to BE spoiled. I love spoilers. Or else I'd have freaked out the way I did when I saw Spike on Torchwood and no one had warned me! :-D

can't help it, he's still Spike to me.

I think if people want to remain completely unspoiled they probably need to GTFO the internet.

Like, I was spoiled, but I knew that was a risk by checking my flist and twitter before I'd seen the episode myself, so I take responsibility for that, you know?

You know I haven't seen it yet but I don'tconsider mood spoilers actually spoilery. You'd need to avoid the entire world if you didn't want to be spoiled by that.

I have been a little surprised by that particular argument because uh. I thought it was pretty clear that it was going to be depressing from Day One.

I do get their point a bit though with things like "OMG *CHARACTER'S NAME*!!! I'M SO DEPRESSED!" out of lj-cut because that's not specific but obvious enough.

I'd forgotten you didn't know he was going to show up! I'd spent so long being inanely excited over it that I couldn't believe I hadn't mentioned it at all. He was so good on TW. <3

Oh your icon. *clings*

You know what, I actually genuinely forgot his real name a couple of days ago. I wanted to mention him for some reason and went "The Spike guy, um..." I had to GOOGLE IT. I'm a BAD FAN.

Part of me really wanted to say that. Because, it's not even like this was a series over thirteen weeks; it's one week of avoiding possible spoilery places or just filtering your flist. Plus with downloads these days, it's not going to be months before you get the eps. BUT. I do feel bad because I rely on people to spoilercut so much and I know I don't avoid teh interwebs when I should. So I was hoping I hadn't actually ruined anyone's day unintentionally.

I tell you what, it's warned me to stay off Twitter if there's ever anything going on if I don't want to be spoiled for. Even aside from people going "OMG", the *trending topics* were spoilery. It's crazy.

It does seem a little excessive. Technically that way even your *LJ mood* would be spoilery which is just... no. If you really can't stay off the interwebs, you'd just better be good at scrolling quickly.
