I- I just spent more money than I've ever spent at any one time before. Even including university fees and my laptop. And I haven't even had my coffee yet, but-

I have a flight ticket to Australia, for March 29th arriving March 31st, and flying back June 11th. I have two and a half months of time to fill in Australia. I- I'm kinda speechless that I actually finally bought my damn tickets.

Even better, I tried three times to buy them last night for £779.40 before realising all the polite error messages I was getting were thanks to noScript blocking the site and went to bed in disgust. This morning, turned noScript off and went to try again - same flights, same dates, £744.40. Which pays for the comfy trainers I've been looking at buying to wear over there since all my shoes are ridiculously impractical.

AND. Sorted my visa and because I'm British, we don't pay the $20 service charge. The universe is totally trying to make me feel better about spending £744 on a piece of paper. :DDD It's kinda working.

So I guess I'm coming to Australia!! :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

...I really need to go mainline some coffee.

You didn't spend £744 on a piece of paper, any more than £770 in notes is paper, it's a promise of a flight to a nice, warm place that you've been wanting to visit for ages.

*grins* This is true. The amount of years I've been saying I'll go to Oz, £744 is probably quite cheap spread over all that time.

I'm quite happy for it not to be *too* warm though. ^_^ I'll skip the heatwaves if I can.

I'm travelling all around and probably New Zealand too, meeting up with LJers I've been talking to for *years* along the way. :D

It is. I've planned to skip the summer, because I'm so not a hot-weather person, which is why I can't go during the Aussie Open, but autumn should be lovely. :D
