Oct. 3rd, 2008 11:13 amYou shouldn't dream about work people. Especially when it's not in any kind of good way and they're actually doing something highly suspicious and suggestive of being criminal, lurking around an upper class electronics shop of the kind that has more floor space than products and plasma screens showing tasteful adverts in muted colours on the walls. Only when you and
kindoftrouble try to stalk him to find out what he's doing, you get arrested instead because the shop attendants think you look more suspicious.
I wish I had a dream recorder. It was my damn dream and all I know is that it was highly detailed and long and involved, and I never found out what he was doing. It's like reading a spy novel with a character you really want to be the good guy but all signs point toward him being The Big Bad... and then you find someone's ripped out the last chapter, of the last copy in existence. And no one else knows how it ended either.
The night before I dreamt I was in a university that looked like something out of a Super Mario game crossed with a Victorian Disneyland. Kayleigh was upset so I was saying we should go to the doughnut stall because doughnuts were the ultimate in happiness. There was a lot more to it than that but that was the only thing I remembered clearly when I woke up.
...possibly I'm eating too much cheese. Or something. Like E numbers. I should check the ingredients of Boots' pasta more closely.

I loved Secret Diary of a Call Girl last night. I was a bit surprised how happy I was when Alex did the complete OTT "You evil devil hor!" explosion. I thought I liked Alex but apparently my Ben-loving subconcious was secretly willing him to fall on his face. After Hannah was such an ass to Ben the other week I'm not sure if she deserves him but Alex was such an asshole to her last night (coming around that late at night to dump her stuff and make a bitter remark? Wow, mature. Though I can't remember how Ben reacted, other than that episode where he decided to join in and did I mention that more shows should have canon like this?) that maybe it balanced out, a little. She still owes him a better apology than "Oh yeah. Sorry about that. *subject change*"
But other than wanting Hannah to at least get a chance to say something to Alex as closure, I really wouldn't mind if he was out the picture now. Not that he will be, probably, because that's too convenient but next week's episode summary gives me Grate Optimism on the Hannah/Ben front.
...Sh. Sometimes a girl just needs a trashy show with a simple OTP to yell for. Especially when the first episode of Heroes on Wednesday suggested they're going to put us through the wringer again, in the way that the second series never quite achieved.
Final comment on SDCG: Vanessa. Does she still exist or did she leave Ben a while back and he's just been clinging to her idea as protection from his feelings for Hannah? Mm. I have to say, one of the things I love most about this show is the way it leaves Vanessa off-screen. Even if it was just a matter of being lazy with casting or cutting the budget originally, it's really intriguing to have a character referred to for two seasons but never shown.
I should get back to work. Exciting as it is, I don't know how I ever manage to tear my attention away from stamping invoices and franking post. Oh the fulfillment of my life.
