So China's blocked LJ? As in completely? As in, anyone in China who might happen to have an LJ, paid for or not, can now never again access it from home?

...You know, A looked puzzled last night when I said I'd love to see China but I refuse to give the government my tourist money. Yeah. Doesn't look like my mind will be changing anytime soon.

Seriously. It's just scary.

"The call centre girls had zeroed in on my doe-eyed Top Gear colleague, Richard Hammond. At one point he was wearing about six of them, and two simply wouldn't let go at all. At 2:30a.m. I received a call from the distraught midget, saying they were following him up and down the corridor and he daren't go to his room.

Poor Hamster. I'd feel sorry for him, if I could stop laughing.

China was so pretty when I went about 7 years ago, but I'm not sue I'd want to go again. A once-per-lifetime thing. :) It was pretty but... I dunno. There was something weird about it.

It does look very pretty. I love pictures of it and the architecture and the absolutely gorgeous clothes but... I wouldn't be happy going to a country where they beat dogs to death in front of their owners and ban internet searches for words like 'democracy'. One of my flatmates went with her school and said it was fantastic but... *shrugs* There are plenty of countries with less batshit politics to go to.
